"Until they reset it"?
I don't know if this is a troll or not...
Nevertheless, no, actually the last week has been rather active with fights... Even fights close to plexes! :P
(And the "winning" squiddies sure have not been winning much lately) --- WOLFY is recruiting!

Edited by: iudex on 12/07/2009 14:02:02 The truth is: it's pretty much over. Gallente make like 3-4 fleets a week, they go out for an hour or two and then quickly run back to Gallente space, because they know there's a big blob growing somewhere, that might come after them. You don't find many of them in lowsec anymore, their morale is broken, their ships are destroyed, and they have no isk left or the will to fight. Their resistance has been futile, and in the last weeks they are constantly harassed in their highsec. It's the smallest militia now, not many left, the big majority are inactive alts.
Caldari are mainly fighting with pirate corps (BYDI, Invicta and many others) and occasionally with some Minmatar, who poke their noses into black rise. But the red star has become quite rare on Caldari overviews, it's mostly against the red skull now. This might change IF Reikoku enter FW (today they finally got the standing to do this) and make a few trips to Black Rise from time to time. But at the moment I'd not expect much faction warfare if you plan to enter a militia - at least not until the August patch, things might fundamentally change after that.

tbh hasn't been much action in FW lately. Solo / small-gang, I hear it's still out there somewhere but all I ever see are giant 30+ person blobs that roam around wondering why they can't get kills. It's reached an equilibrium point of minimal pvp - Gallente excel at solo/small-gang, the Caldari excel at big fleets, and neither is willing to fight the other, for the most part.
I still get kills, hell I'm doing better than ever, to be honest, but all I do is pirate lately. Hoping in August things pick up again.

Well, I would help if I could find some way to regain standing with Gallente. Can't seem to get a storyline mission to save my life, no matter how many missions I do. I think the storyline system is broken.

It's always gonna look action packed from a Wolfy point of view, and all the more every passing week but that's all because thier the only ones left. I don't think they know this yet..

If your one of the Gallente corps that are based out of low sec then you get lots of pvp.
We are based out of low sec and every night we are getting good fights and kills.
As for that gang we chased back into Nourv last night... the funny thing is they out numbered us and had waaaayyyyyy more ecm

Make sure you join one of the main Gallente Militia corps like STRIX, SOTF, or QCATs. I guarantee you will have MUCH MUCH more fun
EDIT: Between the top 4 corps STRIX/SOTF/QCATS/WOLFY there are 1300 kill so far for the month of July, that is about a 100 a day.
And that is just 4 corps.... so yes Gallenete Vs. Caldari Factional Warfare is dead

If you are very eager, you can join a corp without the required gallente standing, and be part of fw instantly. Then you can earn gal standing much faster with plexes. Corporations only need a positive average among all members, so most corps have some positive to spare.

Hundreds of kills (and losses) all over lowsec (and highsec, thiers and ours) every week.
Pirate corps to kill (and die to), four major factions going at it. Hundreds of players, thousands of characters involved.
This is all after the news and awards and blahblah about caldari taking all of gall lowsec.
Long live the war.
P.S. The Gallente are retaking systems.

They will take systems if the precious few people doing the bulk of defensive plexing decide to give "f..k all ya" to rest of Caldari militia who simply has no intention to do a single plex even if their lives would depend on it, despite sizable plexing wt (read: targets) presence in Nennamaila area, two jumps from nearest high-sec system.
Unlike in my experiences with Amarr/Matar front, both Cal/Gal militias are full of "Plexing = pve and if you do it, thou shall be branded as eternal carebear" loudmouths. So congratulations (you know who you are), you are making it possible for Gallente to stage a comeback because you have nothing better to do than lure people to Tama/Nourv gate to pad WOLFY/BYDI killboard.

Caldari has been so active in highsec that most of the gallente fw corporations decided to 'hide' in low sec like DARK did ealier. DARK left militia soon after that.
Gallente has plexers but system does not seem to flip soon.
Latest dev blog did not give any good reason to plex or capture systems so i think this war is quite much over soon, and people start to grind lp. Grinding lp efficiently do mean that pvp ends and all live in peace and farm lp/isk.

Dunno where you think the Caldari can grind FW LP considering the missions send you to Gallenete occupied low sec to do it. All your plexing is really paying off.

Edited by: TraininVain on 14/07/2009 12:03:45 My experience was that BNC have basically shut down operations out of Villore.
Consequently a lot of the bigger corps have gone and hid from them in low sec. This probably works out quite nicely for them but without some sort of backbone it does leave the NPC corp end of things looking like a floppy gaggle**** at certain times of day.
I don't why those Calamari guys are waving their epeens around. Their side is so PVP shy for the most part (a couple of corps excepted) it's not even funny. I guess one could say the same about Gallente FW too, so
It felt a lot like one side would get a blob together, roll up/down the pipe, wait around while the other side failed to put a response together and then vica versa most days. If there is a response fleet it's a huge hojillion ship sizeclass++ gank effort so they can chase the other side away and claim they don't want to PVP. It's pretty ****ing sad tbh when people signed up for PVP have to be tricked into PVPing.
People actually roaming, looking for a fight was increasingly a rarity. Maybe it's all changed in the month or so since I quit but I would not recommend gallente or caldari FW.

um hide...... ??
No Hiding has been involved in any way
OMS has turned into a meat grinder, it is total pointless to fight there and even Heyd to an extent.
BNC hide behind their caps in OMS and try and pick off the noobs, which is fine. If you draw them out of OMS they die like any regular wt.
And basing out of low sec is not in any way hiding. It is where you go to find the 'real' fw imho as you get way way more fights with pirates and wts.
Before anyone says living in low sec within a few jumps of Invicta/BYDI/Red Squad/Tuskers and right on the caldaris major high/low sec point is hiding. Please try and do that your self.
And Bad Messanger, common man leave OMS/Lad and come up here if you can't find in wts

I find this really amazing tbh If I logon right after dt I find tons of wts coutner plexing in the nenn area.
Which is cool but common guys we plex for the fights not for the letters in the top left corner

Guess I stand corrected then. Does point to another area (within FW even) where occupancy isn't even considered though.
