Keenon	Posted - 2004.09.26 15:14:00 - [1] Contrary with popular befief pirating is still very much posible. These days u heard plp say that pirating in 0.1-0.4 isnt posible anymore. What a bunch rat**. Any1 with good gunnery skillz can fit a geddon and decimate anything from 150km and have a budy with a indy pick out the loot. Or just get into a raven and tank those things. 0.0 is much easier, all u have to do is find 0.0 systems that border empire space( oh and pls dont tell me about every having instas)another bunch of rat. Why do u think those mobile warp disrupters were put in game for??? With 3 small ones u can hold any1 coming or going to that gate. Now ransoming is another thing alltogether, plp like celes apoc(Darth Solo) say that no ramson should be payed(better to die like a man). Cute idea, but what happens when the implants that u have on are worth more then your ship + isk in account?? So no ransoming is not like it used to be, BUT its still have much posible. And as we all know the 0.0 systems aint easy to camp by a solo pirate group because someone else will just move you along or blob you I would agree that piracy isnt as hard as some people make it out to be, but keenon you are coming from a point of view were you have a large corp + backing from an alliance to support you --------------------------- The Cold War, EVE style ... That would fix the pirating in empire etc etc and bring any current pirates out a bit more, atm its not very viable due to the long periods you have to wait between kills. 0.0 you just have to be clever enough to buy mods to stop people :). They were skilled and feared Blackbird pilots with secret setups. They pirated whenever they could and destroyed fleets five time as big as theirs. Then somehow, the universe got carebeared, the sensor dampeners became a very popular module and I don't know what happened then, but the way of the Blackbird pilot moving around in 0.0 belts to extort someone is gone. -- Stories: #1 --
