Glad you liked the video. Sorry you didn't like the content so much.
Only one small request, and of course you don't have to cater to my request, but I believe it will help to support your case. Include in your next video those instances of combat other than N vs 1 engagements.
I mean nodisrespect to your abilities as mercenaries. You do excell at your goals, you disrupt empire operations, and throw corporations off track. As you say you are efficient mercenaries. Why? Why, should you ever put yourself in a scenario where you have a high risk/profit ratio? Refering back to your last contract, in the video you had people talking smack about the opposing force. That smack was with regards to them chosing to fight you. Why should they have chosen to play on your terms, if you will only play on your own terms?
This is an inherent problem with Eve. It is proliferated in the northern and southern fronts. There is no way to clear a system of hostile forces. Those who are willing to wait hours in end, in a safespot, or logged off waiting on number of pilots in-space to increase will score a higher kill ratio, than those who try to square off. You could make the analogy of perhaps guerilla warfare vs. the marching through an open field with bayonets fixed. It even goes further, those who are bold and brave and choose to be the ones warping into a huge fleet engagement are those who are at the greatest disadvantage. Warping into a huge fleet you will most certainly be lagged to no ends. Refering to the PA/Moo the force who warped into the huge fleet was in one big wad, that was not a wise choice, never ever warp into combat range of the opposing force. Warp withing range to approach, and then approach the opposing force. Where does this idea of warp to the other gang come into play? The purpose of scouts and cloakers is to position your fleet. Why are they not used? I digress, moral of the story, the intelligent patient foe is the one who is most likely to achieve victory. Your mercenary forces are the intelligent patient foe.

Pretty much. We are usually on the move and, more often than not, an enemy is already into armor by the time he realizes how large the threat is. As I've stated many times, and you surely understand, we're not in this for glory or honor or any other romantic concept people often attach to war; we're in it to win.
However, have no doubt that should an enemy chose to go toe to toe with us in a small fleet engagement that we will be more than happy to dance with them. Both BDCI & Shark pilots are veterans drawn from several different areas of EVE. We are more than capable of doing more than hitting F1-F8 and chuckling evilly.

Shia, I would gladly do so if I had the footage to support your request. Alas, the only enemy whom we have been contracted against thus far who had this ability and used it to any decent effect was Everlasting Vendetta and their war allies Divine Retribution. There were several multi-ship engagements, the best of which was when we jumped into, and defeated, a larger gate camp of EV/DVRN. I had four people, including myself, filming yet the footage was so chaotic that I could have only used bits and pieces. The fact that every single one of the enemy jammed and shot at my Raven (I got out with 30% armor) didn't help me much either. I don't understand why they can't just leave the cameraman alone...

There is a fine line between serious smack talk and joking around with the enemy. We do very little of the former, but quite a bit of the later at times. It's actually quite interesting (and a bit strange) the level of humor maintained by some of the people we shoot at. Is there a particular instance you are referring to?

We do all of this, and more.

Quite so. Many BDCI and Shark pilots are people who got disgruntled with 0.0 blob wars and wanted to do something fast-paced and fun. What we do can indeed be boring as hell sometimes, but the thrill of the hunt through what is considered the "civilized" part of EVE is what makes it so attractive. It's always fun to see someone in local in Amarr or New Caldari say, "There's people shooting each other at the gate!! Is there a war going on here?!" -

Wow. Are you hiring? I may be a bit noobish (only about 3.5M skill points to my name), but this looks like the best fun since early Shadowbane!

I will also add in that some of us play solo alot of the time, and indeed a lot of my kills are solo ones. However for various reasons (the usual one being laziness but my fps also comes into consideration) I dont run FRAPS at all. Therefore solo kills dont get frapsed for the general public.
As to the fact that there is never second targets thats cos we like to move around alot and pick off the weak members and the stragglers-its more demoralising for the enemy.

Mmmm I musta been sleeping.. didn't realize this was out till now.
The war was short.. Too short IMO.. but with TRS/BDCI/FRICK/R-K all at war with us... it made Empire alittle touchy :)
That probably shows in the vids.. There wasn't as much material as with the EV war. Still Seleene your a good movie maker. You put it together well.. but i was disapointed in it for the simple reason is that it was too short. We didn't get to give you guys any real fights.. we gave you some fun.. and i have great respect for you guys. I think if it wasn't for the other wars this video would have been much better.. And this has made THEMM a much better corp. When BDCI/FRICK withdrew there declarations.. -TRS- basicly seemed to disband.. we were left with R-K (and shortly after RONA). due to you guys doing what you did.. it helped us gain more Focus. smack around our Carebares.. and we started to push forward with R-K.. but alas.. due to some sillyness... PA and NORAD are all peacelike.. and well.. I'm bored..
Good fights though.. if not long lasting.. much Respect.. Zipp.

Excellent vid Seleene. And very nice music. Still not as good a leafo but you're gaining on him.
I do hope you keep the exaggeration a bit more down. You seem to have that tendancy and its affecting your credability IMHO. But fair is fair you sure know how to gank them pilots. ___________________________ Favorite bumpersticker of the month: My head hurts! |

I think Sel and Leafo make different kind of vids and each of them are tops in thier respective fields.

Sure, Sel tries to make things dramatic, but what "exaggeration"? I've been around for both wars and trust me when I say that Sel has been a hell of a lot more fair or even handed than I would have been in the directors chair. ----- "Hold still. This will only sting for a moment..."

Hey, having been through the EV and THEMM war, I'd have to say that the videos are pretty well realistic. Besides, if you want the best MERCs in the game and really want to make someone you dislike suffer. You hire Sharks and BDCI. Best case, you just get shut down in Empire, worst case we blow a lot battleships and shut you down in Empire. .......................................
