Once again I would like all of those capsuleers in the cluster who are interested in the concept of Freespace to attend a summit to discuss and expand our understanding of each other and each others ideas.
Much has changed over the last year and a bit since the last Freespace Summit. Technologies allowing greater freedom of movement have been introduced from the discovery of advanced reverse engeering techniques and a form of technology suitably differing from our own to apply these too. The core Empires are rattling their sabres grasping for relevance amoungst the new people of the stars. For us capsuleers space is both freer than it was before but much, much darker as the blood of millions upon millions more stain the stars than it did this time last year all in the name of statehood.
The Summit will once again be held in the New Eden system and will be hosted by myself. Anyone whether they agree with concepts of Freespace or not are welcome to attend and if they wish make a speech. In fact I welcome those with a contrary viewpoint to our own to come along and mkae their case to us.
The summit will take place on the 15th August.
If you wish to speak at the event please let me know by the 11th of August.
Line up to follow.

Can you define "freespace" a bit more if possible heartstone, just so I have a better understanding of the objective of this summit.

I would very much like to attend this summit. I did not attend your previous summit and I have since learned that in doing so I missed much.
besides it is a good forum to reveal answers and truths long kept under wraps.

Looking forward to this. May be interested is speaking on micro-determination and its impact on the Freespace ideology. If the time is right, I will give it a shot.
Thanks for keeping Freespace on the agenda Heartstone.

Edit: Specifically, I'd like to talk about regional intel channels.

You would be more than welcome to attend and speak at the Summit Ms. Char. As is anyone Freespacer or not as long as they remain respectful of other's opinions.
In answer to your question Invelious Freespace isn;t quite as easy to define as most people would like but I'll give you my view on it.
There are a number of corps and alliances as well as individuals who practice one form of Freespace or another and many differing views on exactly how it can be made practical. The Star Fraction is but one such entity. Freespace is many things but it is, for me at least, a state of mind whereby the Capsuleer realize how futile borders and walls are in this Universe. He travels as he will and the threats of the traditionalist territorial powers are meaningless to him. Many organisations practice Freespace differently. The Star Fraction is a more militant form of Freespace entity as many will know but there are many other ways of traveling around without being quite as aggressive as we are. This is especially true with the advent of the new Sleeper Hybrid Technology now available to us.
On a personal note this year I hope to achieve more understanding of how others approach Freespace ideals and continue to absorb and take on board what they have to say.

Perhaps while you're there you can ask them how their support for a territory-holding faction fits in with their objection to all territory-holding entities.

Feel free to come along and ask your questions yourself Rodj but please remember that whilst his event is hosted by a member of The Star Fraction it is not a Star Fraction event.

Though very interested in attending, as i am allways qurious about other peoples views and ideas, i do feel that some sort of mention whould be appropriate, regarding what options people whould have of attacks by others,, as this is event is being held in a system that is not under the protection of Concord, how can one be assured that one is not just walking into a trap, if one announces ones attendance here on GalNet, where possible hostiles could notice it?
I apologize for my seemingly bad manners, but i am a quite cautious person, which has kept me free of the agonizing event of having to be recloned often,, and whould simply hate the thought of going to listen to thoughts from other people,, and end up in a new and aching body without having heard a word.

Pilot Ooyama,
At this event, like the previous Freespace Summit, there will be methods of interaction provided for those pilots who either cannot make it in person or do not wish to risk coming to the system in question. These will be in the form of holo-simulacrums which will be made available for capsuleer usage.

To futher expand on the concept of insurance of safety, we at least believe that within a freespace model a pilots defense is purely in the hands of that pilot. You would not be free to roam as you please if you had to rely on another to ensure your safety.
Therefore, there is the channel that Heartstone mentions, or you should take all the precautions you deem needed to ensure your safety in such a system.

I cannot guarantee my schedule will allow for it, but if it does, I could even talk - something about Minmatar culture and co-existence of idealogies, maybe.

Due to reasons beyond my control the Freespace Summit will have to be moved to the next day. That is the 16th of August at 1900 hours (New Eden Standard Time). If this is problem for any of the speakers please let me know.

The summit will be held in the New Eden system. The race will start from the same place. The "Freespace Summit" communication channel will be used for those not able to attend in person.

I will attempt to attend in person although I am unlikely to be able deliver a presentation. Other commitments willing, naturally.
The first summit was quite an interesting gathering. I would encourage any pilot to at least monitor the holo cast. You are likely to gain a fresh insight on a few things.

Ooh, another freespace race! Another chance for me to win a freespace race! Seeing how I was beaten by mere seconds last time, if I remember correctly. The prize sounds good too! ____________

The EVE Observer offers to be a mediator in a debate between Freecaptains' Union and The Star Fraction should you wish to delve into the fundamentals of the Freespace Movement and explain your corporation's views and what plans you have to see the Cluster embrace your desired outcome.
The EVE Observer can promise Hard Questions that will require Deep Answers.
Many surely want to know how Freecaptains' Union is different from The Star Fraction and why there is such hostility when you both seem to strive for the same ultimate goal.

Your offer of mediation is neither welcome or needed. The Star Fraction and The Freecaptains' Union hold differing views on a number of topics but are more than capable of discussing it between ourselves should the desire or need arise without third party interference.

Though I'd agree with Heartstone we don't really need any mediation with Jonny Damordred's corp I must admit I would like to see you interview him and publish the results. All news is good news and he could probably to with some publicity.

*ChipMo Smiles > Indeed.
It was an epic slog, the route I planed was around 145 jumps, across some of the most wild space I've seen. Some systems spanning as much as 170 AU across. I passed many a regressive territorial camp on the route, none were able to keep me from 'their' space though. Mainly thanks to the technology we have adapted from our encounters with the Sleepers.
I hope this will be the dawn of a new era for the free space movement. We now have the technology to overcome the traditional territorial bottlenecks created by the gate travel technology. This new dawn of covert operations, interdiction nullifiers, transit wormholes and although not used in this race, jump drives, shall aid our clusters free captains in spiting the regressive rTgimes of New Eden.
The summit itself was informative and inspiring. It is good to see people from all different walks of life reaching similar conclusions - Space deserves to be free. In our own way all our entities will be fighting, negotiating and converting the rest of the galaxy into realizing this fundamental truth.
Thank you Heartstone, Thanks to the speakers, and thanks to all those who got involved.
Viva la revolution!
