Omen has good slot layout but it is impossible to feat ( even with all five AWU electronics enge etc ) it has some versatility with tree small drones and weaker tank but more damage then maller , but again impossible to feat. Maller on the other hand ... hmm i hate it. Useless bonus it really shouldn't be laser platform , like you suggested same like prophecy it should be shooting missiles.

A laser thorax has more damage and tank than an omen, and far more gank and tank than a medium-laser maller. Unless you fit small guns to a maller, in which case the laser thorax wins by not being absolutely useless (and out-damages it by several fold). Of course, the debate can continue to rage how only a few small drones would make the maller good. It wont, but you can pretend so if you like. Its not like CCP will ever fix the maller or omen anyways.

Attacking smaller ships is a perfectly suitable role as is a bait ship. plenty of other races have some ships which need to be fixed for various reasons to. why do you think this one needs any special attention? if the Maller doesnt do what you want it to - find a ship that does!
