I'm sure Steam (Valve) would welcome it openheartedly.
The amount of subs you would pick for BOTH games as opposed to not making it available for PC/MAC/Linux would be one of the greatest follies in gaming history.
DUST 514 is an AMAZING GAME and you should market it to as many possible platforms as possible. Also the PC has the advantage of being the primary platform of EvE itself.
In short, I keep my computer up to date with the lastest "medium grade" technology, and I'm sure many other PC gamers do as well, we simply cannot go out and buy a PS3 just to play DUST.

Part of what DUST represents in that it's currently PS3 exclusive is that the world(s) of a merc fighting on the ground and a pod pilot being awesome in space are two completely different things. You can't compare the two, and in a way them being separate is a unique thing. It's also representative that something of this scale has NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE and should be appreciated in that sense.
There's rumours after Fanfest that there may be a PC version because of the game, because they used keyboard characters on screen? I can't remember but I remember there being something along those lines being discussed. It was probably a dev build but still, don't count on it immediately happening. It's an experiment by CCP and it should be given praise for that instead of whining how we don't get it. |

How about because the game is exclusive to PS3, eve players go out and buy PS3s thus increasing SONY's profits.
And a happy money making SOE leaves awesome developers like CCP alone to make great games. (Don't want another SWG disaster!)
On a more serious note, its a good business decision for both CCP and SONY. It sounds counter-intuitive but think about it. |

Because nothing can compete with mouse and keyboard, regardless of expertise once you place console vs pc(mouse and keyboard) unless you get a device that allows you to mount mouse and keyboard like eagle eye on your console your will be unable to compete.
The amount of precision you gain from using a mouse is ridiculous combined with an experienced FPS player he can mow down hordes of console players at a time.
If they wanted to bring it to PC the needed to exclude consoles altogether in order to keep a level playing field, i am sad too i do wish it would have been a PC release. But i will buy a PS3 and get an Eagle Eye for it and mow them down because when it comes to FPS there is no substitute for a mouse+Keyboard combo for a PC gamer. ;)
Let me quote the Microsoft experiment they wanted to make a bridge between the Xbox and PC trough Xbox Live.
"There was a project that got killed at Microsoft. This project was designed to allow console gamers and PC gamers to interact and battle over a connected environment. Personally I wish it would have stayed the course. I've heard from reliable sources that during the development they brought together the best console gamers to play mediocre PC gamers at the same game... and guess what happened? They pitted console gamers with their "console" controller, against PC gamers with their keyboard and mouse.
The console players got destroyed every time. So much so that it would be embarrassing to the XBOX team in general had Microsoft launched this initiative. Is this why the project was killed Who knows, but I'd love to hear from anyone involved --- what happened?" |

Think about it guys. The only reason you are crying for it to be on PC is for mouse/KB and for graphics...STUPID
If DUST came out on PC, who would be left to play EVE? Dust being on console assures it doesnt take away from EVE and allows for simultaneous play on both systems.
Putting Dust on the PC is a BAD IDEA

You really think all of us that invested money on 2-3 accounts in EvE and lots of subscription time are going to drop EvE because Dust comes out?
Reality Check: I play EvE and TF2 everyday and chess on my TV.
What you're basically saying is that ANY game (not just a game by CCP) that is made for PC is bad because it might take people away from EvE. So everyone should stop making PC games now!
Also, I'm asking for it on PC because I don't want to buy an expensive PS3 that is outdated by modern PC gaming standards.
