Hey, I've been having a problem logging in since the new patch.
After hitting connect, everything proceeds as normal until 'preparing data'. The bar advances normally, then crawls the last 10%. Then it sticks at 100%, but nothing happens. I've run the repair tool and tried deleting cached data, but so far, no luck. |

Also having exactly the same problem (on 2 accounts). After leaving the computer for about 1 hour I was hit with a "Socket Closed" message (although thats probably becasue my screensaver started). Currently Re-downloading the client to see if that fixes the problem.
Edit: Re-downloading didn't work  . Submitted a petition and hoping it gets fixed before my skills finish training. |

I've found mine was fixed since yesterday night, I can't think of any reason why though. I just gave it a shot and it worked... |

And now today I'm stuck again, same problem. Goddammit.
Same, was working last night/earlier this morning, try and log on after dt and it gets stuck on preparing data again -_-

Yeah, I've managed to get on a second time now. Seems to work in the evening and not during the day, I'm sharing my internet with a lot of people so it could have something do do with that during peak use... no idea really. |

I'm running off of a Uni internet, so I suppose it could be here that is the problem, but it's been like this two days in a row, seems a bit strange |

Same problem here. Had it immediately after latest patch, but was able to log in after restarting PC. Today, I've rebooted twice and still not able to log in. Our internet isn't the fastest or most reliable, but it seems to be working okay in general right now.

LOL Decided to resub today, had some extra ISK from when I quit, so I enable time for PLEX and have been trying to login for the past hour so I can buy and apply a PLEX, but can't get past the "Preparing Data" bit, I sure this is a sign not to come back .... thanks for helping make my mind CCP

I made the mistake of re-subbing today with cold hard cash... and now I'm stuck with the same problem. At least you had the option to walk away.  |

Also having the same problem. I could log in ok on patch day, but the next day I got stuck on 'preparing data'. Skill queue has now been inactive for 2 days :( |

Did you tried to use Junction folder?
If not, just try Junction folder what you are created

Did you get it to work before this patch? I haven't been around to try to log in over the past 2-3 days, just tried now and the problem is still there for me. To clarify, I haven't got past 'preparing data' since the day of the Inferno patch. |

Was working fine right up until dt, then dt happens, log back in... but oh wait, 'preparing data' and it doesn't move off of that |

Hi i am getting the same issue i login i get about 2-10 mins and then socket closed comes up. This has only started since the the inferno patch came out.
The facts are i pay for a service and the service isnt being delivered. so iv stoped the renewal of my subscription and if im still getting these issues when im due for renewal i wont be comeing back.
I have changed all the cableing in my home network to 1 set standard cat5e -- no change
Modem, router and plus 1 switch has been restarted - no change
Ports for eve stated on the support page unblocked on the router for both ways includeing UDP usage - no change
Windows firewall is off and exceptions input into ant-virus - no change
Internet works fine and upload, download speeds have been checked there perfectly fine.
All other games though steam work fine on the web.
So at the end of the day sort it out CCP

If you are unable to log into the game please create a stuck petition.
If you are experiencing socket loss and are unable to play for longer amounts of time please file a Technical Petition and include information about your location, Internet setup (router/firewall/virus scanner) and Internet Service Provider.
If you are experiencing issues with the Launcher please check the Launcher specific Issues and Workaround thread.

My issue is similar, the difference is that my client crash to desktop during the preparing data bar. I've opened a stuck petition yesterday, no news for now.
