Edited by: YORK CRAFT on 17/07/2009 16:57:41 Sorry, Im just a newbie, who travels through Black Rise from time to time in his beloved Ibis of Doom. And lately I saw mid-sized Fleets hotdropped by Carriers. As I said, Im just an observer at place, but I also saw very dangerous Pilots in Tama camping Nourv-Gate with assigned Fighters from a Carrier, playing freekin docking games.
(/emote noobie York Craft yawns).
Well, and here it comes : I heard a roumor, that every Cyno will be answered by a Cyno, every Carrier will be answerd by Carrier from now on. Is that really the case ? Does that mean, overkills like hotdropping 2 Carriers on a 15+ Cruisers and 5 BSs fleet will be very dangerous in the future ?
Sounds entertaining !
And here is my noob advise : if you setup a "tarp because of Falcon", and your enemy does not engage, cause he has intel of two different Pirates Corps ready to jump in, that is simply a smart move and not ****ty pants.
Oh and btw., I saw that engagement in Tama at Suja-Gate two days ago.
I saw two Cynos of different parties for Caps ready to jumpin. I saw a slaughtered Pirates Fleet, a looting FW fleet and then of a sudden a passive Carrier was unintentional grabbing attention, that had connection issues, misunderstood orders and was slaughtered by three different parties, while loot-fat FW Fleet tried to safe it, thereby taking serious losses, due to unclear situation.
Before that, FW fleet had just some Cruiser losses and holding the field (to be exact, till 20:58 EVE-Time).
No worries, Im aware, that KBs are not accurate, - but here we go : http://killboard.caldarimilitia.org/?a=kill_related&kll_id=128148
Everyone, who knows me, my Ibis Fleet of Doom will engage as long as its not suicide. Even, if we have a Cap escallation on both sides. And I know also, you'll do the same. Well, you did it in the past and hopefully in the future. My respect for that, dear enemy !
And common, Pilots ! - FW is far from to be dead. Its just about to get very interesting, if you ask me.
York Craft
Ps: the CCP Fix is a "must have", tbh. I love it.

Not dead, but does have a noticeable limp
Can't speak for what transpires on the Gallente front, but so far the hotdropping and general capital deployment has been sparsse on the Minmatar front. Much more enjoyable for everyone I should think.
As far as I, and many of my fellows, FW is about the sub-BS action. The restrictions on plexes and mobility required for survival has so far kept just that with a couple of blow-out slug fests with the heavy machinery.

I agree Veshta. To keep it clean of Caps, would be great. Im just thinking, they are part of Game and can be delivered, as it seems.

I think that York is trying to be ironic and is saying that the Gal-Cal Faction fighting is heating up.
Flying with York as FC is fun because he goes off to take 'coffee breaks' with his girlfriend and we gossip about him while he's afk.

Player numbers and the frequency of the alpha blobs have most definitely declined but that aside the amount of skilled players and corps involved in FW has increased. Woot woot my hull tanking domi survived in the engagement!!!! And shuuuu York stop telling every1 about the lag fix, its Caldari militiaÆs secret weapon vs the pirates, we bring the LAG BOMB oh yea!!!

As I said : till 20:58 EVE-Time we were holding the Field, after indeed a tough and entertaining Battle on both sides, and looting. With more kills and a better isk-ratio.
I checked now all KBs on that, and I have to addmit, that we had more losses than criusers and frigs during this first wave, to be correct.
AFTER THAT engagement : we tried to safe that BNC Carrier and most of our losses are a result of this failing attempt. But we couldnt leave it alone, after BNC did very good on our successful first engagement. The intel to leave it alone, came to late.
Oh, I can see a total of 13 BYDI losses on your KB, thats a good one, lmao.
Other than that, was an extremly good and very tactical Battle outa there. And I agree : on total outcome, BYDI and Friends won that Battle, if we take every engagement and every wave into account.
Was a pleasure, cya on the field

If you want to lulz take a look at your KB's jacked up engagement link. You guys lost at close to 5 to 1 ratio in both ISK and ships, yet it still shows a 54% efficiency for you? Pointless to try and differentiate who "won a wave" in a fight like that, especially when you're like doesn't show friendly cap losses. ------ // This is by design. When a ship jumps through a gate, it clears all aggression. // - BH ******** Pew on gate, if it gets hot, jump through and Ctrl-Q. Game mechanic endorsed by CCP. |

The losses are on there, i even copied one of the caps from BNC kb, but for some reason it doesn't show up on the battle overview, weird.

Edited by: inyreye on 23/07/2009 18:41:01 Real battle report for anyone who cares:
We form up for a BC gang, with a few logistics support. Our goal was to hit the biggest blob on the map 0.0 or lowsec, and have fun doing it.
Fight One:
Turns out a Black Nova Corp (Now in the caldari militia) BS gang was coming into suj that moment, so we figure why not and jump into tama to grab them. As BNC is jumping in we are popping them all pretty quickly with no issues. BNC must have cried out on militia intel, because our scout reports a big caldari gang jumping into tama which outnumbers us 2:1. They jump in, warp to the suj gate, and the lagfest begins. BNC must have been super butt hurt, because they dropped 4 carriers on our fleet of battlecruisers. Half our fleet dies, and half gets out.
Fight Two:
People who died get back into onatoh to reship into big boy ships, and someone from invicta calls tackle on the thani on gate. Our gang comes back in, as does caldari, and the ****fest begins again. They get slaughtered as we hold the carrier for its death. After its support fails, we work on the carrier which attempts to self destruct.
Battle report: http://bydi.griefwatch.net/index.php?p=engagement&kill=41645
Caldari KB is ****in worthless. I remember killing that hookbill and a few others in there.
We would like to thank WOLFY for ninjaing on every KM with 0 dmg. Props.
Pr0 tip to caldari militia: Don't put all your FC's in ECM boats. They die too quick.

Minmatar front has become a lame-as-can-be blob fest 24/7 Used to be once or twice during the week and on the weekends. Even with manageable lag gangs of the 50+ are no fun to fly in or fight against, no skill involved whatsoever except on the target callers part.
Scores of pandas are noticeably saddened by this and a few are even crying in public |

Edited by: EVIL SYNNs on 24/07/2009 10:09:12 Weirdest day yesterday. just weird.
From all the POS's in Tama VANISHING! Squids just being crazy, doing silly things, jumping in and out, warping off, leaving 1 behind, who died in fire for the blob to come back to pick up their loot, fighting us on the station (jamming the primary), then they finally got a FC I guess, so we lost a couple of nice ships. But over all Tama was just mental yesterday (103 final blows to WOLFY in 24 hours), must have been boredom.
However the cycle is turning, caldari are getting more numbers in their fleet again. I say this time next week they will have their 50+ fleets moving out of Nourv in our peek time and we'll have to go back to bait and switch. Have no idea why it happens, but I think I should write a book about it, cause its happened since day 1.

Maybe, if you stopped getting killed in Tama over and over again and made it into Black Rise you would find the Gallente that are killing all your friends. I can assure you they are there and killing squids on a regular basis.

Hm, - indeed. I checked the KBs. You had some good kills yesterday. Must have been some eager Caldari Youngsters doing them silly things. - And your losses went on account of Andraz roaming fleet, which returned home through Tama.
Caldari Blobbing? Thats also a rumour.

While I will definately agree that Thunder Dome Tama is an idea that should surely be put out of the minds of any Caldari Militia member, the notion of "here and now" and the inescapable possibility that instant gratification is just a jump away appeals to most anyone when it comes to Pvp.
Traveling 10 plus jumps out of a base of operations, only to come up with nothing, never sits well with any fleet. It nearly gets to the point that in order to keep everyone happy you have to do something out of the ordinary that really gets people excited about what they are about to do. However, even the extraordinary becomes common place after a while.
When faction warfare first started out there was an excessive use of "blobs", on both sides mind you, and the battles they produced were on an epic and enjoyable scale. Simply stating a sizable fleet as a blob, while understandable, is just weak minded in truth. Form a fleet and take it on, have the motivation to come out and meet it. It's purely known that asides from plexing the only real reason faction warfare exists is for some straight up, no holds barred, breakfast of champions, throw downs.
Every militia has the same ability as the Caldari to field a fleet of significant numbers. Lag will always be there but now is the time to take advantage of CCP's fix and get back to the roots of FW. I will even personally pledge that if an opposing fleet is on semi equal terms with my own (and that goes both ways), I will jump my fleet in first just to eliminate those unnecessary stand offs.
If solo and small gang PVP is your thing then so be it, but don't hate on the Caldari for looking for some epic sized battles. Sorry bout the rant.
