The TRADE skill is indeed available for purchase. Just wait for it to come down in price since people put it up for 15 million.

The TRADE skill is indeed available for purchase. Just wait for it to come down in price since people put it up for 15 million.

I'm so ****ed, not only can I not get them for the normal price, but I havent got any lvl 5 learning skills, wtf is going on CCP?!?! Fix it immedietly, I demand lvl 5 learning skills.

I bought a full set for myself.. then i thought, I can only use 1 at a time anyways, so I trained clarity and focus to lvl 1, and put the others up on the market for 15 mill cuz my region was sold out. They sold quickly so my skills were paid for with nice little bonus.
Don't hate me, I could have done better for myself, I was nice to people!

So with 15 (or couple more) empire regions at 20 skill books each that's a massive 300 skill packs each restart.
Let's estimate that of the 50.000 active accounts only 5.000 of those characters can train these up, why it's only 17 days until each of these 5.000 characters will have a skillbook... HOWEVER the people with enough ISK to buy up the entire supply for several regions and putting them back out for 3x the price makes it very likely that quite a few people that have outmaxed all their Learning skills (a lot more people than many might think, 5.000 is a very conservative estimate IMHO) it might be 2-3 months until the flow reaches normality.
I'm starting to think very bad thoughts that combine the EVE BOX (mentions stuff never seen ingame!!!!!!!!!!) and someones throat.
BOFH yourselves out CCP, it's going to make your viability critical.

Could see this happening miles away thats why my char here isnt rdy to learn the advanced skills yet they are on my training roster to start learning in about 2 weeks by then it should be easy enough to grab a set or 2
Just remember treat new skills on the market like a patch day set a long skill training and prepare for the worst then at least ou can be mildly suprised and happy if the best happens

I don't have the skills either, but... Isn't there a benefit to having the skills at 5 anyway? So it's not like you got nothing for the time spent. You still have the bonus attribute points.

I've just finished learning Logic to level 3... so I'm too intelligent to be smug.
Me thinks I'll train Eidetic Memory 2 next... or maybe Presence... or Clarity

even though this is a computer game, it's also a huge investment of time for the players. the players work just as hard in R/L to spend their time playing this game. and they believe that their investment should be just as valid in the game as investments made out of the game. this is where the Ore Theft, Labslots, etc. angry people come from. and also where the "TL2 is rare and shouldn't be available to all" arguement stems from. for this side, the Game does = Reality. these people want criminal punishments and real NPC corps and pure Capitalistic economies with real Supply and Demand modals... these are usually the angry people who complain about game mechanics being exploited to circumvent some R/L situation (such as log off tactics).
now, my question is: which one is it? or which one should the EVE Community base their standpoints from? should i be able to buy a Harpy for a "cheap price" the day they come out? or should it be held for the "elite" mega-rich people to pay a premium for while i wait months for the prices to stabalize? should we be worreid about a Player Driven Market and the task of keeping it in balance? or do we want 5000 of each skillbook in each region as well as all BPO's on market?
in my book. you can't use both sides. you can't tell me on one hand that i am gonna pay more for something that just came out because it's a premium price and supply and demand determine cost. then turn around and counter my complaing with "IJAG!"... it just doesn't work.
if it's just a game, then i'd like to play a GAME. items should be on market at all times at a decent price. i shouldn't have to have too much of a hassle to advance through the game and acquire and use new stuff....
but, if it's not a game, and i'm gonna have to be subject to Real Life stuff, then i want to be able to complain about them and try to change them... just like i can in real life.
what i don't want is to be told one thing a certain time, and then something else when another thing goes wrong...
so, it is just a game? or is it a model of R/L ??

what can i say, my personal post has been removed from the forums, because i stated my dis pleasure. been PAYING for 2 accounts since may 03, this is the treatment i get, i see, well ccp don't kid yourselves that the paying players will stay addicted. over confidence has been the downfall of greater ppl than you. 3 months possibly b4 everyone can get these skills, most unacceptable. some of us work in rl and cannot be online immediately after dtime. working ppl pay to play as well you know, i might even be in the majority group.
