kessah Caldari Provisions	Posted - 2009.07.19 20:32:00 - [1] Well for those that dont know, rigs will soon be affordable for Battlcruisers, which will clearly improve their popularity along with cruisers. Hurrah. So im going to post my secret setup, actually posted this over a year ago, but i was deemed a heretic (to put it nicely). This fits for those select few that see things alittle differently Kessahs Setup Yes i know i posted with the overload, but i know that if you ever get into a fight 1v1 with a battlecruiser, trimarks or not, you will win. No Battlecruiser can do over 928dps overloaded with a realistic setup (unless pimped out and why would they do that unless rich or/and stupid). 14 800 charges and enough wallop, agility and cap to hold your own for a good while. Its tried and tested, so nay sayers can sit back and gloat in there intellectual materialism.

kessah Caldari Provisions	Posted - 2009.07.19 20:45:00 - [3] Well i play a ships bonuses, its much more situational in low sec, in blob/0.0 warfare you will be better plating up, but tbh a myrmidon is a CQ (close quarter) ship and its bonuses are clear. The Myrmidon is a more popular empire vessel.

Pretty much anything that will stay at distance will be able to run this Myrm down. Alas.. bringing friend is better option :)

Although I'm a bit wary about going through capboosters too fast using dual injection, I guess that if you're fighting another BC, the dps won't be higher than 700-800 tops (worst case scenario being a shield tanked neutron brutix) and you can pulse the 3rd repper as needed during the fight. Props for a unique and yet seemingly effective setup

It should be able to tank your 500dps rather comfortably and will sustain cap longer than you. I would also assume that it may afford to drop a cap booster for a tracking disruptor or other things that provide a little edge. Maybe it has energy neuts or nos. I could also see you dieing (eventually) to a dual-repped hurricane that you fail to pin down. Or maybe to a plated hurricane with 2 x med neut but not so sure about that because you should be able to mitigate with good timing i guess. Solo your overtanked underganked ship can easily be kited or straight out tanked by...pretty much any of the good battlecruisers or hacs. As soon as you run out of cap boosters you're toast. The range of medium AC's isn't exactly excellent either without falloff rigs, nor is a Myrmidon very quick at all with 3x armor rigs. I'll stick with a dual rep and TD for now, 3xrep seems more of a gimmicky thing, although with some limited uses. I'm curious just how much cheaper rigs will be, I mean, some rigs are already fairly cheap as it is.

If this situation is unknown, then you find the ship that can counter a good % of predictable scenarios, blob, ewar, etc.... This ship is designed for unbeatable odds, the odds at which you fight blobs. One cruiser class nano ship would end this unfortunately. 22 orbit, pop drones, the end. 10/10 for creativity, but just take a more broader look at the game. Good Luck!

I don't understand people thinking of 500 dps as **** - its decent for a bc, while maintaining a strong local tank. Some suggestions/thoughts/questions. - I think ac are too short range. Can you drop the 3rd rep for something else and fit focused medium pulses? Lasers will accomodate your slower speed better imo. - what are the stats not overheated and not using std exile? - I think you'll have to be weary of torp ravens with tp - I think your stats may be significantly worse vs exp. Maybe swap the 3rd rep for an exp resist mod. - with cheaper rigs - why not armor resist rigs? Try an exp res rig to plus the gap.
