it says were getting new forums

I'll reserve my view until I see/use it.
CCP have a nice way of writing how "good" something is going to be.. what we get on the other hand is in fact something far worse, so unless CCP have hired some adept staff then were in trouble.
To the current forum dev's, I'll hire you for 1 Pint of beer (Your choice) and a packet of roasted nuts (not mine) a week, IMO thats a fair deal for your productivity and ability.

All underlying code will probably remain the same. This forum software is a bastardized version of Snitz Forum 2000. They really should have gone with something like vBulletin. It makes no sense to re-invent the wheel, license for vBulletin, < $200. Then all they have to do is make the proper modifications to it for it to work with EVE's database.
Sure beats making a whole forum from scratch. Plus vBulletins modification system would ensure they could apply updates with minimal pain.
One of the nice features of EVE's forums though is, every time you make a post it'll make you login three times and re-type the post three times. So really only the most dedicated of posters will post.

What's confusing people is the fact that CCP has dubbed the new forum/social networking site "COSMOS." There is no blog about "COSMOS" missions, the blog is about the new "COSMOS" social networking/forum site.
