Imo CCP should remove <sized> bonus and grant the shipbonus to the kind of weapons its designed. I mean, Caldariships have bonus on each missile not only torps or cruise missiles. Thats very unfair isnt it.

Amen. Ship bonus should be for a weapon's race, not specific size. This would fix a lot of whining about how hard it is to defend against frigates, as well as make it even more appealing for pilots to use their racial weapons, which is something I think makes the game much more immersive, RP wise.

Amen. Ship bonus should be for a weapon's race, not specific size. This would fix a lot of whining about how hard it is to defend against frigates, as well as make it even more appealing for pilots to use their racial weapons, which is something I think makes the game much more immersive, RP wise.

accualy you can hit for over 400 damage with 250s i have a wreakig for 450 with a carbide...... but rails suck. a named ion can hit harder than that.
a blasterrax can kill a blackbird in under 30 seconds the only crusier a blasterrax is scared of is a caracel 50km away now that same caracel 20km away well that a different story.
oh an van halen if you would please remove that hit from your sig it is a horably weak hit and it is a imbarisment to the neutron

One of the more common rax setups nowadays seems to be the 200mm rail one.
I think the hardest thing with the rax is to decide between damage and tankability. One more low slot would make life soo much easier

yes i know but liek i said i have hit with a ion for higher than that on a ship that had 2 kenetic adn 2 thermal hardeners. we were board and felt liek shooting somethign so we wanted to see if my rax adn a taranis coudl over power a armor tank setup for hybrids. lets jsut say i had to stop fireing i averaged over 100 with a 250 and 350-360 or so need to check my logs again. so like i said it is a horrible hit

And Yes I do have crap skills about 11 million skillpoints of them, o, sorry there I go again exagerating again, I suppose your going to slate me again for that now! Get a Life and a sense of Humour and when you've done that Grow up, You might find that people will start to like you !

You might want ot apply your own advice, then. Calling Blaster-based setups "pathetic" doesn't help your credibility, and if you think my reply was a little agressive (well, it was), it's a taste of your own medicine.
I know from experience that a railrax setup can be very damaging. I used, on both a thorax and a Moa, a full set of 250mm compressed guns with 2 vortex, and my relevant gunnery skills are at lv4.
Taking into account your small edge on skills, and with AM ammos, I think you CAN hit for more than 400, IF you hit structure AND/OR get wrecking hits. MAYBE you can do it with excellent hits, too, but that's in no way what I'd call "regular damage".

Blasterrax isnt only about the damage, but about the ability to do damage over a longer period of time.
