The joke is old. But it's not too old until the point comes when people stop being afraid of the unknown or foreign sounding and start judging things by weighing the facts. And judging by the idiocy of the food debate around home, that time hasn't come yet.
"how can X be harmful, it's a natural algae extract" "Oh god, it contains E300, ascorbinic acid. Run for your lives. What do you mean with 'It's just vitamin C?' It says E300 Ascorbinic acid right here" "OMG. Cancerogenic potatochips. If I eat 3 tons of this I'll have an elevated chance of getting cancer"
Meh. ______________________________________________ -My respect can not be won, only lost. It's given freely and only grudgingly withdrawn. |

So what its used to cool down radioactive rods, they're not using it to cool down the rods then using that quantity of Dihydrogen to then grow plants.. If just goes and shows it has more than one use which makes it a good thing. Also before you wave omg its been used for something else that seems bad stick, has anyone actually died from eating food which has had Dihydrogen used? |

All your basic food groups start as dirt.

Dihydrogen monoxide is a rarely used chemical name of water.
