late last night i was parusing ( yes its a word, maybe spelled wrong but meh) skills on the market when low and behold i saw: Heavy Assault Ships. "WTF" ( but fully pronouced) i exclaimed.
giddy as a school girl i went to see if stats for these new ships were on the market. and they were. and holy moly. the new maller called the 'Sacralidge' has the hardest armor ive ever seen. the lowest is 60% slap on one energized adaptive II and you boost the resists to all over 75%...rediculous.
the new Caracal, called a Cerberus ( yay greeks) has still 5 launchers..but 5 med and 4low. and +10% light and heavy missile flight time and +5% rof for launchers. wow. beefed up HP too.
each crusier is as deadly..well maybe not to much the ishtar but most of them are. but im worried. first $$$$$ for people raping the market for all its worth. and availability. dang. these ships will add a whole new dimetion to combat, but i fear price and skill reqs will hinder their use sevearly. dear ship builders, be friendly to us and dont kill our wallets.

not quite correct... The Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II provides a +20% bonus to resists... the key is that % sign... It adds an aditional 20% to the already 60% off.
60%+(1+20%)=72% .6*(1+.2)=.72
or, if you want to look at the unit itself, 60%*20%=12% So the unit provides a 12% bonus in that damage type.
It's not a stight up addition issue.

Doesn't the calculation work on the difference between maximum resistance and your current resistance? Your calculation would give 0 boost to a 0% resistance. For an existing resist of 60% isn't it 60+((100-60)*0.2), 68%? ______________________________________________

The first one works normally, so you just take that at face value. That formula only works with added resistances beyond the non-zero base or first mod.

Nah, I'm pretty sure mine is right.
Anyway, anyone want to buy a Shadow Serpentis Energised Adaptive Nano Membrane? 20% to all armour resists. Tech2 protection but with tech1 skill and fitting requirements. ______________________________________________

BTW, its name is "Sacrilege". I'm training my skills to get it... I've still to get the heavy assault ship skill (35 millions) and to train assault ship to lvl 4 (which won't take a lot of time anyway).
This ship gonna rock a lot ^^ (\_/) (O.o) (> <)=Oveur (proof) "Jumping 50 systems I can like, have sex 150 times during that period" |

Actually the Ishtar is going to be the worst one to deal with... a maximum of 5000m/3 of drone space a potential maximum of 15 drones all of which will have a range of over 50km, both scout and heavy's, meaning scout drones (should?) work from even further out.
As for the skills I'm there bar Crusier level 5 Roll on a ship for me!!!
Edit: PS now looking for a new Vengeance Class Assualt Frigate convo/eve-mail me in game with costs...

Of course, the Sacrilege also has 5% damage resistance per level of Amarr Cruiser skill.
All in all, a tough nut to *****.

Which means it is 25% bonus as you must have crusier level 5 as pre-req skill

I don't think so its just a lot harder than a normal cursier, possible to compare to a tier 1 BS in hardness but not damage
