In the last month i have seen a BIG increase of aivailable Pithum C-type medium SB, the market is really burden and the price went down big time. Maybe people don't realise what you can do with it and don't buy them that much.
For example you can really easily set a perma boost raven/CNR with it, with 4 active hardeners, a boost amp, a DCU and 3 BCS. This fit can roll over all lvl 4 missions while the shield NEVER fall under 70%. You don't have to have godly skills to do that.
You have to buy this module ASAP !

Found 4 of these in the last two months, and not only are they more available, they're far cheaper than they used to be. My first two sold for over 600 mil but I see many on contract for around 450 mil.

Most people who are running CNR/Golem for L4s looking to pimp them out with hi-power/energy-efficient deadspace boosters are using dual Pithi-B smalls. Two of those are still cheaper than a single Pithum C-type. Those who really want power drop 2 billion on the Pithum A-type medium. I was thinking about a Pithum C-type for a Tengu, though. ______________________________________________________ Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? |

Nothing but X-Large boosters on battleships.
And then you want the Gistii types as high peak output isn't needed for missions.
All of the fittings in proposed in this thread have been for freaks

A-types are down considerably, from 1.9b to barely 1b. Almost all pith stuff has crashed, while DG mods are going up (invuln, BCU). I guess DG is going up beacuse CN is going up, but no idea why pith is crashing.

Renters in NC space. Since NC had to go fight, they got all the plexes.

For some reason, people believe that ships should be "cap stable" with everything running. That's a real shame, cause it really limits your tank.

Friendly price conscious reseller here just to tell everyone they are just returning to old historical prices, and in fact are still higher than they used to be. I resold a few on the way up, great mod. Although personally, I prefer to both use in missioning and trade pith b-type larges these days; mainly for price reasons.
Although really, anything that can tank a level 4 and go perma in case of disconnects easily is a good shield tanking mod for a mission boat, so makes sense to just go as cheap as possible and still get the job done.

cap stable = easier + much, much lower risk of death if you get a disconnect while missioning.
Higher tank = who cares? If it can handle the mission without a warpout, its good, if it can't, its bad. Either it works or it doesn't, adding more tank to something that works isn't any real benefit unless it allows you to fit more damage mods (and all the cheapo deadspace fits that are popular DO let you fit 3 damage mods).

The 1.9b price i quoted was at the height of the delve war. Unless i'm much mistaken NC was gone then, too. And why would renters ***** plexes more than the owners?

Cap stability in pve ships is nice because it's one less thing to think about. If you can get a tank that works for 0 effort for a little bit extra isk, why not do it?

This is not a critacism of anyone doing it any other way but.........
Does no-body enjoy feathering the X-Large booster anymore, just using a T2 X-Large or even DG/Navy X-Large and using it when you need too, it makes the mundane, crappy, done 1000000000 times missions a little more bareable actually being an active part of flying the ship. Having a ship perma run everything for these missions just makes it a more colourful version of mining, activate mods, activate weapons, pop back every 30 seconds to a minute to switch between BS's BORING ha ha :D

Personally, I use a DG large. However, it's not that they don't want to pulse the booster that makes them go for the 2x Pithi or 1x Pithum setups. The fact that those boosters go so easy on capacitor while still providing equal tank allows you to drop all your cap recharge modules and go full gank. You find setups like the CNR with dual Pithi Bs running 3x Rigor Catalyst rigs and 4x CN Ballistic Controls, which you just can't get away with if you use a Large/XL booster. ______________________________________________________ Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? |

Personaly i don't do lvl 4's for fun anymore, i do them for the great isk income. For the simple reason i don't want to loose my isk income, i run it perma boosted. That way i can leave the ship alone in the mission if the police is ringing at my door. Really handy if you are scramed.

Mine has XL booster, painter and 4 BCU's. I also have heavy cap injector and with 5 in booster alltogehter 20 x800 charges on me. It's not like it's bright idea to loot in your missionrunning ship so having full cargo when going out is not a problem. I would say my injector fueled tank is stronger than those double small or medium plus boost amp tanks. Regadless of that I have died in the past in level 4 missions with that kind of setup (in regular Raven). Had 6 points on me and they killed me in approx 1 min 20 seconds over XL booster going full speed and rat specific hardeners. Sometimes stuff just happens, even if you know what you are doing.
Smalls or medium are also ok, as most missions put out rather pathetic amount of damage. And CNR's also have rather tick shield buffer. But there are situations out there where those smalls or medium just dont cut it. All it takes is one of your drones going haywire and jumping on something improper. For example some lowly delta frigate in one particular not so popular mission.

Not sure why you would spend so much on a Pith medium when you can just use an XL T2 and just turn it on when your shields are down below 25% and turn it off at 75%.

They are ******ed reasons for getting the module.
If you just posted that you are ******ed and wanted to just waste money and make yourself a target for gankers then I would understand, but the reasons defy logic.
I can post whatever I like on any thread and don't need your approval on it.
You lazy morons are what give mission runners a bad name and it is why pirates club you like baby seals.
Why don't you stick some officer mods on it and you can AFK even better, and make yourself a king size target.
They don't bother with T2 fitted ships because there is no money in it.
