Owkay, here is the setup :
[Hurricane]
Medium Armor Repairer II Armor Explosive Hardener II Armor Kinetic Hardener II Gyrostabilizer II Gyrostabilizer II Gyrostabilizer II
10MN Afterburner II Cap Recharger II Tracking Computer II, Optimal Range Sensor Booster II, Targeting Range
720mm Howitzer Artillery II, Tremor M 720mm Howitzer Artillery II, Tremor M 720mm Howitzer Artillery II, Tremor M 720mm Howitzer Artillery II, Tremor M 720mm Howitzer Artillery II, Tremor M 720mm Howitzer Artillery II, Tremor M XR-3200 Heavy Missile Bay, Thunderbolt Heavy Missile Drone Link Augmentor I
Ancillary Current Router I Capacitor Control Circuit I Capacitor Control Circuit I
Infiltrator I x1 Infiltrator I x1 Infiltrator I x1
Currently I have everything fitted, except the T2 active hardeners, I am using T1 named and training Hull Upgrades V to use T2.
The problem is, according to EFT, the T2 hardeners won't fit, I will be 2 CPU short ( 502/500 ).
Could there be anything I missed in training that might allow me to fit the T2's ?
I have trained : Electronics V Electronic Upgrades IV ( training this to 5 will have no effect on this setup right? ) Weapon Upgrades V
Thats all that I can think of for reducing cpu need or getting more cpu output.
Thanks in advance :p

Edited by: Kurfin on 31/07/2009 16:40:28 I can't think of any skills that would help you either.
Best suggestion I can come up with would be to drop either the tracking computer or sensor booster for a named version. Unless you are feeling rich, then I'd swap out one of the Gyros for a republic fleet one.

Cheap faction AB?
Or maybe ditch the Drone Link Augmenter, since it's of pretty limited utility.

Yeah. Your first recourse on any tight fit is to checked named mods.
also, 1% CPU implants are only a few mil.

Thats a nice and easy change, I should have figured that out myself
So I can at least make everything fit, altho I probably end up with arbalest I didn't use them anymoyre because they are pretty expensive, taking into consideration my lack of good heavy missile skills compared to the rest of my skills.
Thanks

As far as I know no ship can fit a full t2 setup, or almost full as yours is. Dropping to a named module will free up lots of CPU.
For that setup I would drop the sensor booster down to a named, the targeting range difference will barely be noticeable and will give you the remaining CPU.

Nice setup, and may be my next project, but I need better shield skills.
The tank seems alot better indeed.
However, I don't see how 650's can do more DPS than 720's, not even talking about 1 less gyro ... ?
Edit : You must have missed the 3 gyro's I already fit right?

Well, thanks all for the input.
For now the cheapest way out, with no compromises, is to get the meta 4 sensor boosters, so thats what I'll be doing :p

If you include reload times 650s aren't that far off just on bare numbers; if you include tracking too which isn't really quantifiable, imo they're at least as effective for dps ( not alpha obviously ). I believe his dps figure was including the extra HML though.

Hmm well according to EFT, the difference between 650's and 720's in my setup is 247 vs 259, I am sure that includes reloading times, maybe not that much, but enough for me to use 720's.
Then about tracking, at these ranges ( 60km ), I don't think tracking counts for much, I generally hit pretty good at optimal, mostly alpha strikes on frigates, and frigates should be the hardest ones to track right? Cruisers go down in a few shots too.
I upgraded from 650 to 720 a while ago for the added range and DPS.
With a better tank, the range will be less of an issue of course, and it will be safer when I warp inside a group.
I will go for a passive shield tank with 650's, but like I said, I have a load of shield skills to improve first, and before that I want to improve my drone skills :p. Only time will tell if this will allow me to complete level 4's faster :p
p.s. suggesting to remove the Drone link augmentor for a HML, will drop my long range DPS substantially ... The drones help alot with bringing down the battleships faster. In previous builds I did use 2 HML's.

To get everything T2 on most ships requires lolfits, only a handful of ships feature to be set up with all T2 without comedy.
