prices went down to ridiculous lows...
this counts for all w-space datacores. radar sites are atm not even close to worth doing anymore.
whats your opinions about this?

maybe now, T3 ships will be at a reasonable price. you should know, things are always inflated when new features are added.

OH NOES MY ISK PRINTING BACKBONE!
Isn't T3 being cheaper than it currently is the point of making datacores, etc drop more frequently?

It should come down, along with other ships.
800mil for a glorified cruiser is not fun.

What is funny is that now the bottleneck is elsewhere, so target prices are still far away (a complete t3 ship still costs well beyond 500 mill.). I hope there is a bit mroe of tuning on the next (1.5) patch in the droprates to make bluepints worth it and to low the bottleneck items prices.

That they need to come down even more. We're still at ~4+ the supposed price of T3. ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |

Oh yeah, op also needs to show math that proves running wormhole sites are less profitable than empire level 4 missions with the reduced prices.

Well personal exprience for me is that the droprate went up 5x and the price dropped 20x.
Meaning that a good C3 radarsite which used to be a 1 hour solo cleanout with an estimated profit of 100-200m done in a 0.0 system with no local is now a 25-50 kinda thing for 1 hours work.
Compared to 0.0 ratting or even L4 missionrunning it becomes a high risk low reward activity. "Subtlety is a thing for philosophy, not combat. If you're going to kill someone, you might as well kill them a whole lot." - Vulcan Raven, The Last Days Of Foxhound |

then stop doing it. if you and everyone stops doing them, the offer of T3 ships will drop while maintaining, or increasing, the needs of said ships, increasing their prices, and, by proxy, the price of their components, untill there's enough people farming them, wich will cause a price drop, and we're back to square one yet again.

You're mad you can't get 100-200mil an hour and can instead only get 25-50?
I haven't run lvl 4s in a long time, but I'm pretty sure that if I could pull in 25-50mil an hour doing them, I would say **** pvp and do that for about a month and then buy a mothership.

L4s easily make 50m an hour if you have decent skills/ship.

prices are also dependent on supply and demand, supply went down and the demand went down hence the prices dropped more than the upshot in supply. every rich person that wanted to already got theirs at 3 billion early on and would pay anything to be "first" driving the prices up on top of only a handful of people were actually making the stuff at first.
and as the prices level out less people make item X (t3 hulls in this case) sending the prices shooting back up. bit more of a wrinkle in this system because it is dependent on wh farming for the production parts.
but look at any of the new stuff prices start out really high at first drop to a reasonable level then go back up to being really high again, see marauders that were selling at around 650 mil not long after they came out now are pushing 1 billion a pop.

Hell yeah!
I think we should have them as the new "rookie ship" so whenever you die you get a free strategic cruiser. I think its totaly out of order people have to spend isk on powerful ships.

L4s easily make 50m an hour if you have decent skills/ship.
L4s can easily make you 25 mil/hour if you have a decent ship and decent skills.
They can get you 45+ millions hour if you have a pimped mission running ship, know the missions very well, very good skills and the standing with the right agents.
So Voice, if you have great missile and shield tanking skills, are willing to spend the time to learn the missions (having done them a long time ago don't count) and are willing to spend at least 2 billions for a ship and pimping, it you can reach your goal

I would be tempted to say drop about 5~10 mil off that estimate as lp and salvage don't pay what they used to. Oh snap, quick make a thread about how level 4 payouts are ruined by low lp and salvage returns.

Not so - I build the full chain of Proteus hulls and subsystems from the ground up, and my costs would be very little different if the datacore price dropped from the current low rate to zero. The tall pole in the tent is (and was even before the datacore drop rate changed) Neurovisual Input Matrix ancient salvage bits. If NIMs dropped a lot more often, I think the tall pole would probably then be high-end gas.
In any case, prices are indeed continuing to drop on hulls: I've been chasing the market to the bottom with a cheaper-every-day Proteus hull for over a week now. I think CCP is right not to act precipitously while they're finding out how the changes they've made affect their target.
I'm not whinging about the changing prices - just saying you're wrong about how to affect them.

Yes, they overdid it.
When/if the backed up supply of RAMs and decryptors from when datacores were so rare dries up, radar sites might be profitable again. Right now they are essentially combat anoms.
