The only time I can remember that goons hung someone out to dry was when they let Intrepid Crossing try to fight Kenzoku... alone. And we're not blue to the NC. Yeah, the fact that Goons are starting a new "let's smack Atlas again" topic every day on CAOD for almost three months now clearly indicates that we are doing something extremely wrong. And I fully agree with you, we are totally trashy (and we fail ofc). We have so much shoulders which we are standing on, you cannot imagine. For e.g. our current territory was only a generous gift to us from our kind friends, UNL, XIX, RA and of course from the bestest of all, the Goon. Sadly true, we had these alliances blue for only a couple of minutes (until they passed the sov's on you see), cos' we didn't want to have long term relationship with anyone. I must confess, even the member corps are neutral to each other in Atlas (not red though...yet).

And I too, admire Goons more than lolatlas! I can't wait until every single 0.0 alliance gets on the Goon naplist so we can spread the love with these handsome bees like the majority of EVE does.

B+C) Look, I would love to normally discuss this topic with you but not on CAOD. Here you can't post a single sober sentence without letting Goons spin it around until the discussion becomes pointless and all you can achieve is 5 pages of smack behind you. So to make the long story short, if you have changed sides but you can still find joy in the game, then everything is all right imho. Since I approve and understand our decisions and they are fitting to my principals/logic, I will stay on this side for a while.

Aggro almost doubled it's numbers within a month of getting Immensea, you recruited corps full of people who only wanted to rat and plex and not help your alliance. It's not surprising that Aggro didn't implode sooner. You had troubles with certain corps treading on eachother/conficting arguments about the direction the Alliance should take, follow that up with an unhealthy dose of corptheft and the following drama, and If you add all these factors to the growing unease between Aggro, Atlas & AAA about fleet participation (For an alliance with almost more members than Atlas, Aggro could usually only get around 100 in fleet at the best of times) I can certainly start to see why Atlas and AAA would grow tired of you quickly. Blaming your withdrawal from Immensea on Atlas is also wrong as they were preoccupied with taking Detroid/Insmother, anyway Aggro members were b*tching about not having enough reds around and the reset fixed that problem... And the untrue rumours that Atlas was trying to sell Immensea to Triumvirate kinda sealed Aggro's fate as the members just wanted to GTFO.



fakeedit: To any Initiative members, are you having to shoot abandoned Aggro towers as you take Immensea? They seemed to leave so quickly I can't imagine they had the time to scoop and transport them to their new empire home.

Really? Because I look at it as Minor Threat not really liking Goon's, which is why they weren't blue in the first place. Until of course Goon's were breathing down their necks. It's funny how pressure changes peoples morales. I'm pretty sure half the people napped with Goon's don't really like them and they only did so to avoid conflict, not because they share a common enemy. But that's just good business sense, nothing wrong with saving your own keister right?

If Goon's fall, I would put money on half their nap list turning to blue whomever was taking them down.

It's not Atlas' fault that their allies can't fend for themselves. Anyone that seems to get space is usually steam rolled by Goon's and Co. if they don't blue them, so this should be no surprise. There's not many sides to choose from and if by chance you don't choose to blue the Goon's, why is it always AAA and Atlas that have to save everyone?

It's nice to have friends, but if Goon's keep picking on alliances that can't fight back, it's obvious that stronger alliances are going to get sick of spending isk on logistics to fly off to fight for small alliances that for god knows what reason Goon's keep picking fights with.

If you want to blame someone for the losses of small alliances, you can squarely put it on Goon's for avoiding full out war with larger alliances such as AAA and Atlas. Until that happens though, Atlas and AAA have every right to do as they please, if someone cares to disagree, then they can go on ahead and invade AAA/Atlas space and stop beating around the bush.

Yes, Goon's are awesome. This is why they're fighting smaller alliances and avoiding war with AAA/Atlas.

My guess is they either don't have a spy in place yet to make it easy or they just enjoy attacking small alliances that pose no threat. The fact though that everyone that loses to Goon's is by the Goon's own doing. Maybe you should stop posting if you don't understand that. Or you can just blame Atlas/AAA because it's the 'in' thing to do.

You're right, they're a varitable pantheon of goodness for attacking small alliances. The people will rally behind them to kill the evil Atlas/AAA that are minding their business. Or if they don't rally behind Goon's, the Goon's will steam roll them and blame AAA/Atlas for not helping! Ingenious! So let's just clear the air. Goon's and Atlas are the primary powers in opposition right now in 0.0. ( aside AAA but no one seems to mind them not doing anything about Goon's so we'll just leave them out for the sake of my point ) You essentially have 2 choices. If Atlas was nice enough to let someone have space in the first place, how is it then all of the sudden their responsibility to landlord that space? Were these people renting? No. They were out there cashing in on 0.0 and Atlas turned a blind eye. But hey, Goon's comes along with the nap train and all of the sudden it's Atlas' problem and they should drop everything just because they let these people have the space. That logic makes you sound dumber than a box of hair.

What's more, I was in -V- which just got rolled by Goon's. I knew from the start that -V- taking all that space was a bad move, but I moved my assets out there anyway. Sure enough, they took too much too soon, grabbed the attention of people they shouldn't have and I'm all the poorer now that my assets are locked in enemy space. Did this make me blame Atlas? Hell no. It makes me want to take Goon's out all the more, not put on a nice shade of blue and bend over for them.

This reminds me of obese people blaming McDonald's for making them fat. Here's a pro tip, try have a little self-respect and look after your own shit and don't blame others for not intervening when you're too retarded to help yourself. There's plenty of room in empire for you if you can't.

Wasn't this supposed to be a MT thread? Anyway... Not picking a side goons vs. atlas facts are facts here.

Fact 1: Goons were only able to conquer Delve because half of eve blue'd and joined them after Sov was reset. (because so many hated BoB)

Fact 2: Atlas has in fact helped its allies out. Atlas gave Immensea to AGGRO on a silver platter. Same with BYRN and others.

Fact 3: Meatshield don't exist in this game lol. If Goons wanted to fight Atlas head on they could have put their cyno somewhere else. Obviously they want to fight others first!

Fact 4: MT was blue to Atlas. Lets not forget this.

Aggro put up plenty, The Curse Coalition last I remember dropped 150+ caps on us, Byrn consistently was able to put up 100+ man fleets when we fought them. Perhaps the lack of numbers put up had to due with no one wanting to deal with Bobby Atlas or you are just dilusional and these groups did put up the numbers but you have to justify your leaders actions with false information.
