Could you PLEASE keep the damned nebula's and eye burning stars to a minimum.
I'm tired of having to rotate my camera and position it so that a dark background is visable.
The sun should NOT make a quarter of my screen glow. We have self polarizing glasses for ****ed sake. You don't think they wouldn't have a software program to do the same a couple thousand years in the future?

Not my opinion. Tho I would vote for clearer, cleaner colors in the use, especially in regards of suns, or red-background-systems like in the Coriault Constellation (Aunia, Dodixie etc.) Currently, it does not really look polished

Agreed! Too many glowing backgrounds. It loses it's impact when every system is like that. Make it a RARE thing for a system to have a nebula nearby! It would nice if nebulas and other stellar phenomenons actually became tactical objects instead of just fancy background as well! -The sword is only as sharp as the one who wields it. That would be interesting, fewer stellar anomalies, but encorporate them into the actual environment, things like stations in gaseous clouds, etc. I hate to bring up the common comparision, but was one of the great things about exploring when I played freelancer, the unique tactile sense of some environments.

Also, make the distance from a star and the actual size of it more realistic in regard to its brightness.
Up close it should be very bright, but not all stars are real bright beyond 25-40 AU. At that distance it just looks like a rather brillant star in the night sky, maybe how Venus looks to us.
At 50 AU from most stars, it should be hard to tell where the it is.
At least put some "Pilot Cam Sun Glasses" on the Market, similar to Gas or Arc Welding specs.

Cors, who are you talking to? I do not think CCP reads this section very often.

When i saw the wormhole spacescape for the first time I thoght "great", "If i get tired of the bright background on this side, I can just turn the camera to this soothing black background".

Suuuuuuure they do, there are just sooo many ideas that aren't worth their attention here that they've become so jaded they dismiss the ideas. "Because theirs are awesome".

would it be too much of a drain on computer resources for the skybox to be animated?

Why can't we have different types of stars like red giants, white dwarfs, brown dwarfs, yellow suns, etc?
