I can't imagine that EVE would be effected by it, as the in game clock is GMT,
while your clock might lose an hour, or whatever, but EVE's clock won't change.

Eve Runs under GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) also known as UST (universal Standard Time. So eve is uneffected by the change from daylight saving. It will only effect your local time. So for instance downtime is at 11am GMT at the moment that means in the UK the time will be 12 midday when the servers are sent into a downtime state. When daylight saving finishes the UK will go back one hour to GMT so downtime will happen at 11am.
Hope that makes sence.

All countries (and states wherein, since some US states dont observe it) who follow DST turn their clocks back the same day but turning the clocks forward is off a week. Europe changes thier clocks ahead a week before the US.
Archrival, I've always heard it "Spring Forward, Fall Back"
Linky to DST info
As for EVE, CCP doesn't observe DST. Prepair however to see MULTIPLE posts by folks screaming that CCP forgot to change their clocks and DT was an hour off of scedule for the first week or so after Oct 31st.
To the Forum Mods, can we get some sort of banner at the top of the page come Oct 31st to attempt to hold back the flocks of people who will undoubtable post about the DST change. That or some in-game news a day or two beforehand (not like people bother to read the in-game news before they scream and kick on the forums.... )

LOL all of those are correct, but there are many things we can do that you can't. Drinking laws are much more lax for example. And it is Autumn. Fall lol, wtf does that mean.

It may surprise you I am english or was I moved to the States and became American so thats how I can critize. Fall makes more sense sinse the leaves of the Trees "Fall" its far more practical than Autumn. Now tell me I never did figure what Autumn ment? Actually it's UTC:Coordinated Universal Time.
Apparently the odd abbreviation is because the concept was 'invented' by a joint English/French speaking committee (in Switzerland FWIW) and rather than choose the English abbreviation over the French abbreviation (or vice versa) they chose the third option which is 'incorrect' in both languages.

regarding autumn, its origins are from latin and means " A period of maturity verging on decline", better than "fall" IMHO :)

GMT is GMT... UST,...UTC... ALL THE SAME THING.
just because some comitee came up with a new more politically correct name for it, don't mean its changed any.

Daylight saving across the world
You can see on this map, that iceland does not have daylight saving time. That's why they have same time as UK in winter.. but are 1hour behind in summer. (or better said.. UK is 1hour ahead)

True but they are probably just doing what the most of the IT industry does and running their servers on UTC. Windows is a UTC based platform and Internet servers are configured for UTC as well. -- (Battle hardened miner)
