This thread is about an incident in FW that happened over a week ago, and that I'd have already forgot if it wasn't constantly used in militia chat by Psyflame and his fans, to stultify and deride me. I feel forced to explain the background and the idea behind it, so i can link to this thread whenever the mockery sets off again.
The incident in question is the loss of 2 Moros class dreadnoughts at the Tama station: Kill 1, Kill 2.
The Moros were used to clear the station from the WT and pirate sub capital ships, which are there quite often in the last weeks and usually attack anything on sight. Also i wanted to try something new, since I'm rather bored of standard fleets after over a year of FW participation. In case of a capital fight or pos siege, i had capital guns, ammo and strontium ready in station, ready to help any FW fleet, if a Caldari FC decides that he needs a dread.
Why using neuts and drone modules on a Moros ? I understand if especially young players scream "Fail!!", since everybody knows that dreads are used against a pos or other capital ships and therefore should have capital guns and a siege module.
Unlike the other dreads, the Moros has a special feature. It can deal up to 1k dps with heavy drones and over 500 dps with medium drones. There is no other ship in game (outside motherships) that can do so much dps with standard drones, and it doesn't even have to enter siege-mode for that. With the use of drone tracking and navigation modules, those drones are deadly even against the smallest and fastest targets. Since this Moros was supposed to fight sub-capital ships, i didn't use capital weapons, as they are useless outside siege mod and activating a siege module in that system is like a death sentence. After all even a uninsured Moros hull costs less than 800m today (after basic insurance payout) and with full insurance and the modules on my killmail that's only few hundred million for tool that has a ~2m EHP buffer / 1k precise dps / 4x neut / 14km web / 30km warp disruptor, which is perfect for station games against aggressive sub-capitals.
Why in Tama ? Tama has only a small Minmatar station. I tried to do this in Old Man Star, but there are hardly any WT nowadays, it had to be Tama. There was one problem left: it has a drop out station. A test on SiSi showed that it is possible to use a Moros anyways, making use of the invulnerability period of 30 seconds and the slow base speed. It was risky and it was a challenge, but it still was possible and worth a couple of tries.
Why is their a hull repair module on the 1st kill ? Although i explained it several times, this is used again and again. The hull repairer is not part of the standard fit, it was used to repair the hull damage from an earlier fight. Yet i still continued to play the aggression game, since the usual WT and pirates don't have anything to kill the shields and armour within 1 minute. I didn't expect that pirates can bring 16 capital ships out of nothing and kill it in like 40 seconds. It was a mistake to think so, and i paid few hundred million isk for it. But even after explaining it several times, Psyflame and fans continue to stalk and publicly taunt me with that killmail.
Today Psyflame even confessed that he was the pilot who opened the cyno for the 2nd kill, that lead to the Moros loss due an extreme bump from incoming capital ships. I understand that Psyflame dislikes me, since i often took side against him when he bullied people in Caldari militia and made them leave (last case was Udan). But backstabbing an allied militia member in combat and aiding pirates to kill a ship of one's own militia is just low and a breach of trust, which is worse than the Moros loss itself.

This would be the same psyflame that uses the caldari militia as his own private army to protect his own/alts isk making ventures ?
Whenever his POS`s are threatened he cajoles the militia to step forward to defend his isk generators.
Militia members do step forward, bringing battleships, hacs, recons etc to help defend, while psyflame bravely contributes a t1 ship, normally a blackbird or a rifter.
His nickname for the militia is ` the tampon` ( to be used for personal purposes ). |

So, let me get this straight, you got a bunch of dreads dropped on your moros while playing station games. Ok, this can happen I guess, I'd probably not expect it either.
And then, not even 21 hours later, you got a bunch of dreads dropped on another moros, on the same station, by the same guys.
Are you sure you arent a spy for the gallente, intending to ruin the caldari KB stats? Or is that just a severe case of short-term memory?

a) "ruin the caldari KB stats": I don't think anyone loses anything because of some stats on a killboard. Besides that it's wrong anyways. The loss of the Moros hull for example is shown with 2 billion, when in fact it costs 300-400 million after insurance at todays prices.
b) The Udan incident: I don't know him personally, but from what I've seen he was a regular guy joining fleet ops and doing a good job for the Caldari militia (Udan's killboard details.). Then i saw Psyflame constantly bash and bully him in militia chat, for unknown reason. After a while he went wild, made a application at a pirate corp, telling he's a spy etc. That was an obvious knee-jerk reaction of someone who was fed up with Psyflame's "games", not a real spy. Of course Psyflame and his fan-base made use of his reaction and continued with the mobbing until he left or did something stupid and was banned. Udan is not the only case, there are quite a few others with similar though less spectacular stories, and i only feel sorry that I supported Psyflame in the early stage, when he for example bashed people like Inquisitor Eisenhorn for having autocannons on his ravens next to the launchers etc.

I think it's a sad state of affairs that so many people feel it is their right or perhaps their responsibility to tell others how to fit their ships. And if you don't listen to them to the letter you are complete F4IL. I applaud your unconventional thinking in this situation. Was it risky, sure it was. But you knew that going in, and it was your isk to lose. If you're not so concerned about the loss why should anyone else be? As for Psyflame, never met the guy so I don't think I should say much but it sounds like he should get outside a bit and realize there are things happening in the world so much more important than someone losing an expensive pixalated representation of a big spaceship purchased with fake money. Actually that sums up my feelings for quite a few people who play this game.

Oh. Comedy gold. Story tiem. So I had my ship, the Safety Inspector which was just a burst with a passive targeter and a ship scanner. Don't want to drag a faction fit ship out to the party if your fleet is lolfit, right?
So I come across this one dude in a raven with small autocannons and a SAR I. I tell him "hey man, can you please add a damage control or maybe a damage mod in place of that SAR? Oh jeeze. The guy EXPLODES and starts talking about how this is his "pvp fit" and I don't know his skills, so I have no right to judge a fit that is tailored to him, etc. Then he goes off about stuff I don't even understand. There was mention about the ecosystem of egypt and how some kind of fish are being affected and... I really had no clue what the guy was talking about, but he was mad. So he's screaming nonstop on comms, and I just kick him from fleet. (I don't wan to deal with that tbh). Two days later, we get a wardec, yeah. same guy. So I post the chatlogs and a saved screenshot of the fit in militia chat, the guy goes ballistic again. He eventually gave up and... I dunno, I think he still plays but I haven't seen him around. I think I blocked him eventually.
Anyway, psyflame is a bully and can't pr0 fit his moros like TC.

TrouserDeagle is a Psyflame alt?!
Right. You're aggressing everything outside the only station in the most dangerous system in FW, close to a pirate blocs cap fleet, TWICE, then act shocked when you get ganked TWICE. On consectutive days. Have I got that right? You were parked there for what, an hour? Agressing everything. Hmmmm.
It wasn't betrayal. It was just the pirate bloc doing what they do. That, imo, was a freaking EPIC cyno and it was completely within game mechanics. I know must be disapointing to lose a poorly fit dread like that, twice. But if you wanna play station games with such an expensive ship you gotta know you're making yourself a big target. So man the f**k up, plenty of people lose caps in lowsec without whining on the forums about it.
And train for carrier FFS. I hear they make good drone boats too.

I had been thinking of pointing this out myself. The trouble with gloating is that you have no defence when the roles are reversed. Is he willing to make a post in this thread, repeating his sentiments, I wonder?

Actually, despite Psyflames best efforts to make sure militia does not take a single plex*, we still managed to conquer all systems. I think that says enough about the opposition.
Damar Rocarion Brigadier General
P.S: Proudly having Psyflame on blocked list since 2008.
* This refers to time when we still fought over them in Agoze and nearby. He'd try to get people x up to play undock games in Tama than come fight against an actual fleet into Placid.

The 2nd kill was completely different. In the first the pirates surprised me with the instant mobilisation of capital ships. The second setup had enough EHP to survive a similar assault for 60-70 seconds aggression time. It happened like Oodin described above, by a cyno-field and incoming capitals, that accelerated the Moros to like 3k m/s and got it out of docking range. The moment it was accelerated, i knew it was dead, since I didn't ask nor expect support from anyone; it is disappointing though to hear that friendly militia members were involved in killing it.
But it was my own risk and loss (which is actually much smaller than it looks, the guys who lost a t3 ships, marauders or some faction battleships lost much more), and it was interesting to try it, the loss of the Moros is not why i made this thread. The reason of this thread is the constant harassment and mockery in militia after that incident. It is annoying to hear from friends that Psyflame and few others were dragging me through the mire because of that kill, when i was offline. Or turn on Eve and the first thing you see in militia chat is Psyflame mocking on that old incident. That's why I was forced to explain the purpose and the intention. I'm sorry if you are caught in that stereotyped thinking and still don't understand what a Moros can be used for outside of it's genuine dreadnought role.
I could go further in this and explain why a Moros is better (and cheaper!) for this job than a carrier, but it seems you are not interested in facts and game mechanics but like to make a pretentious statement on something, that was actually achieved by pirates and not your corp or militia. Gallente tried it right on the first undock and all they achieved was losing some of their ships, don't adorn yourself with borrowed plumes.

First off the second kill wasn't different. You got killed in the same ship, with the same fit, on the same station, by the same people. I'm not saying we killed your dread, the pirate bloc did a splendid job of that. TWICE. We did, however, keep you agressed as we knew the pies were on the way and you killed killed what, two interceptors? How'd that work out for you?
The truly confusing part is you making a thread to point out how you lost two dreads to avoid harrassment. All you're doing is inviting people who don't harrass you in militia chat to join in on the dogpile here. I'll be sure to point out this thread to others in an effort to accomodate your wishes.
PS: Yes I know the Moros does good dps with drones. It doesn't take a genius to read bonus descriptions. That doesn't mean parking a dread outside a station for an hour at a time is smart.

BYDI seem to be a pale shadow of their former selves.
They used to have a good reputation for scrapping and ran some very tight fleets.
Not too long ago they lost several fights to the caldari militia ( most of which they really should not of lost ).
Now its rare to see them involved in any fight of significance without any of ( or all of ) invicta / laconian syndicate / cry havoc holding their hands.
Its pretty sad to see really.
