Yesterday (8 August) we have successfully held our first special event, Soy Saucer Romaning Day. After D/T, more than 100 Chinese players from EVE Chinese server, Serenity, visiting Tranquility using trail accounts. Together with Panda Supremacy players, we formed a rookie/frigate/cruiser gang romaning from jita -> rancer -> rens -> e02 -> g-0.
We visited rancer and expected a boom to our frigates at the gate but the united guys seem not having weaken up. So we moved to E02 to check CoW as planned.
As usual, CoW never makes us disappointed. A small BS gang was sent to chase our local escort gang ... and one victim was soy sauced :

Come on, CoW, six bomber carriers with a Titan was too overkill 
Then we moved to G-0 and ED gang quickly hiden in POS ... impressed  :

Finally we all rushed into a w-space and live there for die lol:)
When finished, we got lots messages from who in Serenity didnt take such event. We might do this again ... with more ppl. Goons ... will catch ya

As currently Serenity server is still in Faction War age and the server has a unsatisfied capactity for large fleet war (extremely laggy when about 1000 in local, sometimes even just 200 in local), those visitors, called soy saucers, coming to here to express their serious concern about the situation of Serenity server. What CCP should do for Chinese players:
1) offer them a fair playing environment like Tranquility and improve the server performance.
2) keep version synchronized between two server versions.
3) open Chinese client at Tranquility server (at least tranditional Chinese).
4) open API Key/Database dump for serenity server.

Obviously they don't, why else would they ask for it? 
I had a bunch of those dudes running past me in lowsec yesterday. Was a bit confused what they wanted with their op since uhm, what little mandarin I learned about tens years ago has been long lost.

The background context of this event was that most Chinese players who live at Serenity are a bit anxious about the future of their server. They also want to have an "outdated fresh touch" to the Apocrypha update.
The basic figure about Serenity is that it hosts about couple thousands active Chinese players with a 2000 - 4000 constant on-line number. Most of them have about 20M ~ 50M SP.
Since the licensing contract between the CDC (the successor service provider of Optical) and CCP is going to be ended in 2010. The future of Serenity is not clear. Most of these players want to know what will happen at that time:
1) will CCP continue to license to CDC ?
2) can the chars from Serenity migrate to Tranquility (I highly doubt this). so
3) for those who want to play on Tranquility from a fresh start, can CCP release a Chinese client.
We used to plan send loads competitions about such concerns but finally we prefer a gentle/relax way to give GM a better working day. So it happened :)
Despite the above things, the event itself was full of fun. More and more Chinese players are coming to Tranquility and such frigate/cruiser blobs might happen again. Enjoy
