Edited by: Mova B on 10/08/2009 23:48:37 Interceptor with MWD and Blockade runner with MWD, add some hyperspatial rigs to increase warp speed. Or align rigs.
The the most important part, when you turn on AP, remember to set your MWD under F1 button for example, and then put something heavy top of the button or tape it 'on' position.
Profit.

the interdiction interceptors (the ones with scram range) have the fastest warp speed of most anything (some t2 indy ships excepted) or, a covert ops ship, they warp at 13.5 au/s too.

For a fast afk ship on the cheap both sp and isk wise then go for a vigil. Its about as fast as an inty for the price of only a few level 4 skills.

Covert ops: 659 m/s(Cheetah) and 19.4 au/s
Fill the lows with T2 Overdrive Injectors Rigs = Hyperspatial Velocity Optimizer x2
Warps crazy fast and all the covops will aproach the gate faster than a shuttle. |

High warp speed, align time, and for afk autopiloting very fast approach to the gate for the 12-14 it drops you out. cargoholds small, but you could fit nanofibers instead for a faster align but slower approach, with bigger cargohold. With a few webs, its a great accomplice to the freighter too for aligning speed. |

what about slasher?

The vigil is faster than the slasher as it has a 5% velocity bonus per level though tbh its not really all that much faster so it could easily make a convenience substitute especially as they are about the same price as a shuttle.

I thought that the Claw was the fastest ship in the game, Afk in that wouldn't be a problem

if you aren't gonna be alt-tabing >
take the faster warping kind of ceptor (malediction, ares, raptor, stiletto) move your mwd to F1 slot and put something heavy on your f1 button.

Speed is 766m/s Align time is 2 seconds Warp is 6 au/s
This may not be the best fitting, but I doubt there is a better ship for the job. (without putting something heavy on you MWD key, lol)

Ares still beats that. Higher warp speed to boot and not even utilizing its 2x rigs slots for velocity/agility.

Malediction with 3 overdrives, an I-stab and warp speed rigs is my replacement for my Firetail.

Simple numbers for comparison. Doesn't take into account the real warp travel distance (which varies from system to system), align time, client lag and most importantly the acceleration to warp and deceleration from warp delay.
If I have to make a realistic guess, it's probably closer to 5-7 mins. Biggest variable is the real warp travel distance. Different routes have different distance. |
