I dont understand why anyone isnt asking this, and I havent found any threads about it because this forum doesnt have a search function like any NORMAL forum does; But why are eve prices being raised for everyone not in europe? Why does europe get treated special? I am having a hard time justifying CURRENT prices, let alone an increase.
If I am to pay an increased price, I better see increased performance from eve and far less bugs than there are now. Performance for the most part is already ok. But every common bug thats been around for the past 6 months or better, and new ones, like the glaring one with diplomacy, need to be fixed BEFORE prices are raised.
I think I might give up eve with learning of this increase for what seems to be no reason. I dont feel like paying more. I have 2 accounts so its actually double for me. I feel sorry for anyone with more accounts than me.
Prices should be going DOWN if anything. As more people join eve, this should be our benefit. My words may not go over well but I dont care. I hope you look forward to losing a customer. If its any colsolation, the game was fun and the price was ALMOST justified until you raised it. ---------------------------------- Stop screwing up whats currently in the game and add the new content that was promised months ago. Thanks. |

It does say VAT included for Europe, but true, that does not take into account the exhange rate.
I think it was very noble of CCP to keep the prices that the customer pays for the product the same over the board, even if they see less of it in the end from us Europeans. Unlike Sony, who, when the VAT on Electronic goods came in, just stuck that on top of their subscription price for Planetside.
So, IMO, kudos to CCP

CCP is in Iceland... They've got hydrogen cars and stuff.
Personally I also think it is far out that Europe has to pay more for EVE than everybody else, even with the VAT. Besides, I also do not see why the prices should go up, since EVE has more players and I guess suscribers than ever.
CCP response please? ---

If Euros are going to pay smaller base rate because they have extra taxes then CCP should donate part of its proceeds from US players to the US govt.
We in the US pay our taxes different than you Euros and recieve different benifits from outr Govt.
All this is, is basiaccllly giving Euros a cheaper game than US players.
