Or you could visit a pre-filtered site that contains the posts on Eve-O and allows you to rate them. If (very big if) junk passes the filter then the forum at large can vote the offending stuff down.

i don't see any problem with it, i can picture ******s clicking random links and getting (obviously) infected with several layers of malware, arbitrary code being executed now and then and god only knows how many keyloggers are lurking in their filesystem.

If they are using trial account to post on the forums (do trails have posting privs?) then just take away those posting privileges from the trial accounts.

Perhaps hitting them square in the ego would be a way to go, with something like a name and shame thread for known buyers, or if that is against the terms of use for the forum perhaps a name and shame web site (something IGB compatible).
Trials already can't post.
I say blacklist all Chinese IP ranges, and permaban (or at least 1 year or so, as well as isk removed) any isk buyers (without demand there is no supply)
What about the non hacking chinese players?

What the hell would be the point in changing your password if you have a keylogger? For pete's sake, they can log you typing in the new password, so you are back to square one. Same with those people who suggest splitting up forum password and game password. Riiight.. Because it can only sniff you typing in your forum password, and not your game password, right?

If you get keylogged it is 100% your own fault, unless the chinaman broke into your house and installed it on your computer himself. If you'd use a good antivirus/firewall combo, practice some degree of safe browsing (firefox+noscript+adblock), keep your OS up to date and stop buying isk it just wouldn't happen. Anyone who gets hacked is a victim, first and foremost, of their own stupidity.
The only thing CCP could really do to save you from yourself is implement two factor authentication, as Blizzard has with WoW, which makes it virtually impossible to hack your account unless they steal a physical keyfob from you as well. But, if I had to guess, most of the people getting hacked wouldn't be bothered to spend $5 on the keyfob if they already can't be bothered to update their antivirus and restrain themselves from clicking every obvious keylogger link on the forums.

CCP should release all the information they have gathered about this keylogger spammer.
It would be the first step to initiating counter attack.
If CCP are afraid to associate their name in any aggressive action, they can leak the info anonymously.

You just dont get it do you. IP blocking dosent work because it is trivial to change your ip to avoid the ip ban.
