Watch this video of null sec pvp and tell me you don't want to be involved.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O76_hgZ2BQM&feature=related
After seeing that, is there any way you can say, without lying, that you don't want to die for your space empire? I doubt it. Nullsec is the ultimate in player driven content, and once you get a taste of it you will never want to leave.
Instead of crunching on rocks and grinding missions you can be a soldier in an epic battle where empires are born and die, where your every action can make all the difference in the world.
Try it. |

You do realise that when you're addressing Carebears you mean 70% of nullsec dweller Alt's too, right ? Being a carebear does not mean you do not Pvp, that's falsehood spread by pubbies. I don't even have to watch that to know I want to get back to 0.0, but to be frank, I don't have the nescary dedication at this time and I do not wish to be yet another member who doesn't show up at any CTAs like most alliances have right now. |

The early days of null sec (2003-2006ish) was much more fun than it is now. PVP just isn't what it used to be and now I prefer not to do it. I think in part this is due to the overly large alliances but thats just my opinion. |

Im not a total carebear, I've made the occasional trip to low-sec to rat for funsies, that said I spend a lot of time missioning because im too poor isk-wise to afford to lose more than a few ships. Some people simply cant afford to buy new ships at the drop of a hat. PS who do you think makes my ships? We all know you don't have bots making ships for you for free. /sarc
If I could afford pvp i would but I earn **** isk and therefore have basically nothing.
Once they fix the target one ship and alpha it then move on, i'd jump to null in a heart beat. PS **** blobbing, small gang is best. |

Same here. I`ve been in null sec fights of all sizes and I do miss them... I just do not have the time to commit atm du to RL obligations. |

Yeah, looks awesome....
I'd love to sit there watching little red x's while some nerd chants targets on Vent. You seriously think this is good gameplay?
Maybe it's compelling at the strategic level. How many players get to plan that bit? One? Five?
Personally, I'd rather play my own "eve extistence", where I call all the shots, intead of being a little drone in somebody else's game, but heck it's a sandbox, go ahead and do what you want to.

I call this brilliant, award winning, gameplay.
It is the most emergent, complex, gameplay I've ever encountered in an MMO. |

Believe it or not, there are some people who play this game and think differently than you do. You're playing it right for you, they're playing it right for them. You may not think mining or missioning is fun, but there are people who genuinely enjoy these activities, not because they're missing out, but because it's how they choose to relax. I think people should give different types of gameplay a try, sure. However, some of us will decide that combat pvp isn't for us, and that doesn't make us "wrong". |

He quit and called it a frabication when finding out the trailers and gameplay are completely different.
Even though myself and 2 of his friends play also and told him, he wont return feeling "mislead".

46DP-0 final timer was a 6 hour lagfest slideshow that was the culmination of at least 2 weeks of ass-busting work to get to that point. I personally decided that is far too much commitment to put into a game, and IMHO they need to rework sov mechanics so that the resulting fights are much shorter...perhaps force player forces to spread themselves a little thinner to defend multiple objectives so the fights are smaller and end quicker and we get a decisive victory, moving the frontlines a little more often. |

At first, was.....something i wasnt interested in either.
But a year ago, one of my corp mates found easy access to null that is hardly travelled, we moved out there with our jump clones.
We have had a lot of fun, and we make just about the same amount of money in null that we did in hi sec.
Point is, like in life, give it a try, if you do and dont like it, no harm. |

Boring just doesn't cover it, never mind the fact that I barely understood 10% of what the FC was saying - at first I wasn't even sure he was speaking English.

Perhaps you'd prefer to play a single player game instead of this subscription based single sharded unified open world PvP MMO? Because you're taking up server resources which could be used by us when we actually play the game as CCP advertises it. |

I see no CCP advertising that says "Come and play a game where you just do what someone else tells you."
What I see is advertising of a game where I can interact with as many other players as I choose - plus a few who might choose to interact with me whether I like it or not.
To me, that video is one long yawn (assuming it carried on in like vein after the first 3 mins). I can't conceive of being so lacking in imagination as to tolerate that, even for a few minutes.
So no, I don't want a single player game - I want an interesting multi-player game.
And the scenario in that video isn't it. |
