The mineral prices will sort themselves out... I worry about what the sustained scarcity of ice will do to POS owners. I don't make minerals. I just make ore 20% cooler. |

we actually pay, yes. since we scrape eve-kill, you can ask people on there with a number of exhumer kills if they've gotten paid and they'll tell you they have |

The only mining ship that is capable of surviving a moderate suicide gank is a Mining Battleship, exhumers can't do it nomatter what the fit, a couple of gankado's and you're toast.
and good luck mining ice in a rokh.

Who ganks exhumers in Nado's? Those are expensive. Seriously, Nado's are at least 70m per. Single-Shard, Player Driven-áSandbox.

Ok, maybe gankado's were a bad example
But even well fitted exhumers are comparatively weak against a small group of destroyers.
I'm not interested in the politics of why etc, I just find it ironic how nullsec is now seen as the safe option to mine instead of empire |

Nullsec is neither safe nor profitable for mining/ratting/etc unless a LOT of player effort is expended to make it so. Stations Intel Channels POSes Defending SOV iHub and iHub upgrades Keeping a keen eye on Local Logistics (assuming you want to sell your minerals) The list goes on
Mining in safety in HS used to require: Undock
Now it requires: Undock Look at Local Look at D-Scan on occasion Single-Shard, Player Driven-áSandbox.

True, but if there is a small group of destroyers, you should see them coming before they land in your belt. Either on dscan, or in local chat (tears or warnings from others), or in local (known gankers you've set to low standing are easy to spot at a glance).
Heck, even the Hulkageddon mails are a wonderful database of known gankers and the areas they frequent.
Its all about mitigating risk. One can never entirely eliminate it. One of my friends loves to suicide in a Talos; he doesn't care about the cost, and he still has an impressive efficiency ratio.
If I lost my Hulk today, I'm fine with that. It either means I screwed-up royally (doh!), or missed something (a learning experience), or my number just finally came up.

Think abou it. If every alliance was to just make a pact for a month, and take every PvP fleet in there, and just wipe the Goons out, we would not have to worrie about them. And I do mean wipe. 1 month would save the universe a lot of prolbomes. |

Yes. (Don't ask compound questions).
EDIT: I'll play nice, they appear in both. Single-Shard, Player Driven-áSandbox.

You know I have to laugh at this, I mean its just a game. I mine make isk, buy shiney stuff, get killed ... rinse and repeat. Its fun!
I've done my fair share in Eve over the past 8 years, nothing changes, theres gankers and wa (stop!)
If people QQ over their hulk, they need to get a life.
Its very simple, keep an eye on local, set any corp/allince to -10 that are known qankers. If you afk mine, be prepared to comeback to yourself awake in pod/station ...jeez its simple.
