I've played a lvl III qual 16 R&D ever since last Jan or Feb. I have never gotten anything, no bpo nothing. What the deal? I have all the skills, I have over 28k RP, I have Superb standing with both the corp and the agent. their view is decent and good for agent. And, nothing ever! Just getting very disappointed in this.

4 R&D Agents..
Combined over 60k Rp's
And not a sniff. I have even stopped the missions now and just take the daily Rp's...
Yet on the sales channel I see the SAME people selling BPO after BPO.... |

You are not entitled to winning the lottery. If you were, you couldn't think of a more deserving winner than myself 
And while nobody forces you to choose a science career, I too would liek to see a better system to distribute bpos as an instance of technological advancement.

What Field? StarShip Eng. ? if so...its the most OVER researched are in game...People research this area for the big score....Selling the BPO or BPC or the Ships themselves....

I actually won the lottery but guess what, I got the BPO offered to me while I was on a vacation from the game for several months. What was it? A Crow! By the time I got back he no longer had the BPO for me. Oh well.

Lol @ 28k no offence though Jasmine, you will understand when you read my bio. Let's just say this R&D thing is worst crap in Eve. Only reason for me to keep doing it is that I am at such high rates of points it would be stupid to suddenly quit though this point is nearly reached.

i was doing gallente spaceship, got well over 30k points and never got anything. changed to something else (can't remember, was drunk) and i got a sig amp 2 bp within a few days.
i have now been running 4 agents for about 4-6 months and have got nothing.

And yeah seems to me several people are getting multiple BPO's.. Yeah it would be said by CCP that 'It's Random', but in there somewhere has to be a form of non-randomness for people to be getting more offers than just one, I onow for one that the creation of a 'Truely Random' code generation is nigh on impossible, eventually no matter how random it looks there is eventually a pattern.

It seems to me the problem with tech 2 bpo distribution is that it doesnt reward hard work. I was lucky and got a bpo but i started research way back on the day it started, and it only payed off for me about 3 - 4 weeks ago. i had earned about 45k research points.
I am upset to see people getting bpo with far less points than me who then go on to sell the BPO because they didnt have the skills to use the print, and wanted the fast profit. Not that i can realy blame them of course because everyone is in the same boat, but this only plays into the hands of the big corps who can afford to get monopolies on items.
I just can't help but think there must be a way that rewards the hard work that so many people are putting into research rather than sheer dumb luck.

With the way it is now, the rich get richer and the rest of us are scambling for table scraps. If you dont have the "luck" to get a bpo from an agent the only other option is to attempt and buy one, but the prices for the prints are so much that it would be incredibly difficult to do so. The only people who can afford those prints are people who already own T2 bpos and are making mad cash off the prints. While people who dont are stuck with limited profit margins on T1 items or mining and selling minerals like mad to just make enough money to buy em. And then your prolly going to have to buy a T2 item print which my take longer to regain your money from then it took to actually get the money to buy the thing. To say that this lottery ever made getting a T2 print a level playing feild for everyone is just idealisticly deluited.
Am i making any sense here with this?

Mjol, I totally agree and you seem to enhance my view of things as siad above - you have over 100k with 5 agents and yes it does suck to similar levels with my 9 - it does suck to see the rich getting richer and the poor poorer, but hey thats how RL is after all.. but then again this is just a game - isn't it

I got 2 Ships BPO, one Raptor and one Helios 
Well, i had over 200k RP over 8 agents (2 accounts), of course, i now have less, about 160k RP, i got my 1st BPO with an agent that i had something like 10k RP, many months ago and 2 weeks ago, i got the Helios with an agent that i had about 51k RP
Still, i think the R&D agents offers for missions that are worth 1 day of RP should happen more often, something like 4x / day, so those making these missions would be able to get up to 5x more RP than those that just leave their agents doing all the work, while doing something else...
It would require more efforts for the R&D agents missions doers, but at least, it would be worth it, as much more BPO would end in the hands of those actually working hard to get them

Let's say 3 bpo distributed in a month for an assault frig, 5000 players (and alt) buying lots of tickets like you for it, guess what will happen, you WILL win just take time and more bpo draw.

That same agent recently gave me a small laser BPO by the way.

I was so perturbed when I got a BPO... Been on hiatus for school and log in only to switch skills. I haven't had time to do the agent running necessary to use high Q level 3 agents yet, so I just left my guy using one level 2; quality 0 R&D agent, not doing daily missions... 3,000 lousy RPs later I get a TechII BPO. This lottery BS has got to end. It's really a jip when someone like me can get a BPO when someone that works their butt off for 3, 4 or 5 R&D agents daily and has amassed ten times or more RPs than me gets jack squat. I think it's about time there was a RP value attached to TechII BPOs and BPCs and work was actually rewarded instead of using random number generators that don't really work right.

I was so perturbed when I got a BPO... Been on hiatus for school and log in only to switch skills. I haven't had time to do the agent running necessary to use high Q level 3 agents yet, so I just left my guy using one level 2; quality 0 R&D agent, not doing daily missions... 3,000 lousy RPs later I get a TechII BPO. This lottery BS has got to end. edit: even more annoyed since they changed what was in each field's lottery. Now electronic engineering has nothing, and both graviton and another (hydromagnetic maybe) have only cloaks.
I picked those agents purely because of the predictable patents (back when i thought i had a chance of getting one).... |

I got 2 energised adaptive nano membrane IIs from the same agent. I went for nano because it seemed 'unsexy'. I reckon if you go for Caldari Starship engineering or similiar 'sexy' tech then you have to expect the numbers game to stack against you. But then of course there is always luck.
