Emergant gameplay as I perceive it is any gameplay that expands or alters the perimeters of normal gameplay styles.
1. It does not matter who creates emergant game play - it is created 2. It does not matter why players create emergant gameplay |

Come on, all this stuff is required. Both griefers and carebears
Also : myth: Hulkageddon is unavoidable, you will die to griefers while mining.
Fact just go into a quiet system and STFU?
Please explain why the game needs carebears and nullbears. Please note to facilitate a clear and consice explanation the definitions of the terms nullbears and carebears need to be clarified. |

This brings us to the point of the evergrowing ammount of hulks and heavy duty ships like those in high security areas that simply won't die if nobody provokes it. It is quite obvious that you won't lose a ship by bumping an iceberg...
So, for this reason, those ships invulnerability need a fix for the production of such ships to continue. The fix required for this are the griefers. This is why griefers are required. Griefers make the economy run as well as the carebears are by building the stuff that gets blown up.
And ****, do I really have to define null seccers, carebears and griefers? Learn those yourself.
Get real guys, it is the way of the eve economics. Ships need to be build and blown up for the economy not to fall to the ground.
See the blowing up of your ship as "planned obsolescence". Same thing your damn washing machine's manufacturer did when he sold it to you. It's probably why it's leaking all over the floor atm.

8 months ago, when i last went afk i was logging into 45k+ people online, now since i have been back its lucky if there is over 20k.
1. Numbers online when you want to be online =/= subscriptions 2. In 2007 30000 online was a big deal 3. in 2005 20000 online was a big deal 4. Its summer in the northern hemisphere 5. A bunch of summer games have just been released |

That discounts point 1 in what some would argue is a legitimate manner - a point I can see but not really agree with. What about points 2-5

Because once you mine asteroids, they don't come back after downtime!
Yes because they are gone entirely until downtime. An organised mining crew could strip a system out every day thus forcing other players to mine else where.

An organised mining crew could strip a system out every day thus forcing other players to mine else where. Doesn't even have to be organized. My last corp I was with in highsec ran random mining ops with at most 10 people, and we would strip out 2-3 belts in a 5 hour period.
So an organised group could engage in industrial pvp by logging in just after DT and stripping belts. |
