Edited by: Nash Winters on 15/10/2004 15:00:01 I want to know what CCP plans to do about the rampant piracy going on throughout the universe. I see no reason why I should have to deal with some of the problems these people cause. When i cant leave a station in empire space because some guy in a bs with -9 security status is sitting outside shooting and webbing/scrambleing people as they leave, making it impossible to leave, how am i getting what i pay for? Why is it that people with a negative security status are even allowed to dock at a station? Im not talking about uncharted space, out there it is free game, but why is nothing done in empire space? All of this wouldnt be so bad if CCP was even the least helpful when it comes to loses, but i always get the same answer, we cant help you...blahblah...buy some of our isk on ebay, thatll help you out.

Edited by: Hackett on 15/10/2004 15:01:41 Ok - first of all take a deep breath...
Cool? Righto - what sec status is the system u r in? anything up to 0.5 would have a concord responce to any hostile action unless there was a corp war. If u are in .4 and below then sentry guns will activate at gates & stations if hostile acts are comitted. This doesnt mean to say that these cant be bypassed - but its not that easy. Low sec space is exactly that for a reason - its dangerous.
Adapt.

Hey Nash... Right below your name it says Irata III Trek Alliance. Have you tried asking fellow corpmates for some help with this issue B4 going to CCP?
I can understand why you would be a bit livid over station/gate campers but it's actually part of the game.(or why else would CCP put npc pirates at some gates?)
And I wouldn't go so far as to say piracy is "rampant". You might be confusing the response that alliances have to tresspassers within their territories as "piracy". It's not. They are protecting what is their's.
There is a place for pirates in this game too. And believe it or not, they create a ballance within the game.
This is my view... I'm sure your's is diferent...

Yea but you podded me, ass. I dont care what security status it is, if its a named system with a stn, i should have atleast some protection to undock safely. And i really dont care about stargate campers, youre right that is part of the game, im really refering to not being able to undock safely. And yes it is rampant when in the course of 3 days i get blown up twice outside a stn.

For the record your corp has around 58 members. I'm not saying declare war or anything but, just that there is safety in numbers.
People get dogpiled outside of stations all the time deep inside empire space. An ex-corpmate of mine lost a Tempest to a few station campers at a 0.3 system. It was a lesson learned by everyone in the corp. We stayed the hell out of that system after that. You may have to do the same.
If you are stuck in the station (I've been there) just set a long skill and log off. Watch a movie or go grab a burger and log on later. Chances are, your station campers will be gone and you'll be able to leave.

This is my point, i abide by the rules, dont **** with ANYONE, ive never attacked a single person (besides corp member fun), i pay CCP each month to play this game, and i have to sit in a station because someone is going to attack me if i leave? Why is one player allowed to pin another player in a station without repurcusion? How does this not violate my EULA when CCP refuses to do anything about it, they are openly supporting a hostile game enviroment. I shouldnt have to worry about this kind of bs, its not fair to me or anyone else that just wants to mind their own business and play the game. Im not refering to uncharted space, this happens all the time in named, empire space and CCP does nothing to help.

The pirates in the game also pay CCP every month too. And yes they are entitled to "pirate" as much as they want. The same as I am entitled to mine in secure empire space as much as I want.
Your claim that CCP has done "nothing" to help is totally unfounded. Get in your best ship, fly out to any roid belt in a secure empire system. And let loose on any miner in the area. Then you'll see the "nothing" called CONCORD that CCP has put in place to prevent piracy in SECURE(0.5+), named empire space. Yes, you may destroy that poor noob miner B4 CONCORD arives. But there will be hell to pay on the back side when CONCORD finally shows.
I'm sure nothing I've said will sway your thoughts on the matter though. Especially if you lost some implants in the whole deal. I guess the only thing left to say is, come on back to secure empire space with the rest of us. There's still room.

Huh?
Don't go to 0.0 then. You know the rules of the game. Don't complain. I'm not pirate only a peaceful merchant, but i don't want to see people complaining when they know that this things are possible. If someone try the same on me I will just try to nagotiate with them. Except his IQ is -100 where them i will just ask from other to gang him. This game give you the power to get revence

let me get this straight, you are complaining cause you were killed in a 0.0 system? lol
ccp has provided you with many secure systems, but you picked a 0.0, and now they are responsible for your death?
take some responsibility for your own actions and stop blaming it on other people. You chose the system, you live with the concequences.

Look i understand that i wasnt in the best place, but it doesnt mean that i shouldnt not have to worry about being attacked while undocking, this happens in places other than just 0.0 so its not the issue, and by your logic, if i should stay in safe space, pirates should be confined to 0.0 space, which isnt happening. I run in to pirates in .7-.0, why dont they have to stay in 0.0 space? Why are they allowed to dock with a negative security status, why are they allowed to freely roam throught secure space and then go into DS also without a care but i cant?

Ditto. Sorry, but I have no problems. I know that it's kill or be killed when I go to 0.0
Don't tell me you're one of those people who plays an online game and complains when you get killed in zones specifically marked for player vs. player combat?
Edit: Have you even read the game's rules?! --------- Kitten Hearder Evolution made my sig Less Entertaining than your's. |

So the cheapest and only module in the area, the entire region is in a 0.0, i dont go get it because i have to worry about being attacked? BULL****, im not asking for an end to fighting or piracy, all i want is some damn protection so that you can undock safely and warp away, if i get pwned at the gate...fine, but not out of a damn stn where goods are traded.
