The message you received at the first low security jump gate should have told it all. Concord cannot guarentee your saftey, and I personally prefer the challenge of low security space. Go with a friend.

I see no reason why I should have to deal with some of the problems these people cause. When i cant leave a station in empire space because some guy in a bs with -9 security status is sitting outside shooting and webbing/scrambleing people as they leave, making it impossible to leave, how am i getting what i pay for? Why is it that people with a negative security status are even allowed to dock at a station? Im not talking about uncharted space, out there it is free game, but why is nothing done in empire space? All of this wouldnt be so bad if CCP was even the least helpful when it comes to loses, but i always get the same answer, we cant help you...blahblah...buy some of our isk on ebay, thatll help you out.
0.0 space, no law, if you cant handle the heat dont go there. If you look at it rpg wise, the empires doesnt have the ressources to traverse all of their systems, only the key systems, 0.5 and above, in 0.o empire space only sentry guns are helping you.
You came around an experienced player, who took you out, its a PvP game, live with it or stay in 0.5 or above So Say I. Einheriar Ulrich of the Bloodline of Einheriar.

While it is unfortunate that you can get trapped in a station in low security space, it has to be remembered that a player, with a -9 security rating, has had the balls to combat players in empire space. Thus his security rating, shows him for exactly what he is, dangerous! Had he only ever fought in 0.0 space, he would not have that negative rating and you wouldn't know he was a danger. My advice would be to log on with an alt for an hour or so, check out the market, check the escrow deals and hopefully he will have gone when you next log in.

Stop complaining, if it was a named 0.0 then there ARE sentries at the station, he was tanking them or out of their range. If it was unnamed then it's your own fault. You enter less than 0.5 and you accept the fact that you might get shot. Deal with it.

I Agree with Nash, if you get ganked outside a station or as you jump it says that the game for solo player is null and void.If im a miner and builder it make it a little hard on me to explore and find the ore I need.So no matter how much you guys say its 0.0 and thats what you get, it all it means is that you have to join a corp and personaly I wish I didnt have to.
p.s. I do ninja mine for minerals but i dont make 15 jumps ,i try to keep it as safe a possible.

Nobody forces you to enter a cooperation, but to actually get to the highend stuff, you need a corp, to help yuou out. So Say I. Einheriar Ulrich of the Bloodline of Einheriar.

You know the NPC rats in roid belts? Yeah, those are kind of annoying to miners such as myself. Why don't we remove them too? Auction your items for isk, works sort of like ebay. |

No matter what the rules are, or whether it's his own fault, what CAN you do in such a situation? Don't mind what he should or should not have done: this is the situation he's in, now what? Maybe the camper will get bored, maybe not. Funny thing tho; I was shot aproaching a gate in some low seclvl system obviously by a gatecamper. My pod was destroyed and I was revived at my point of origin. Why does this not happen to you?

What could he do? Simple. Make a really fast frig (Vigil, f.ex., is a good platform), and use that for travelling. There, problem solved.
See, a little preparation and thought is far more useful than whining and shouting nonsensical arguments.

Other alternative is to call on your Corpmates for help. That's what I did on the one occesion I was locked down in a station by pirates. It led to some of the most intense play I've ever had in any game, as I scuttled out of the station and system running between two groups of Battleships facing off against each other. It was like a scene out of a Western, you know the one, the two groups of gunfighters at each end of the street with me as the child or shopkeeper scurry between them trying to get into cover before the shooting starts.
I'm predominantly an Industrial/Trade player and have always resented the phrase 'Carebear'. But I've got to say, the guy who started this thread has to be in line for the 'Fluffy Care Bear of the year award.'
Yes it's annoying when you get locked down. Yes it's bloody annoying when you loose an Indy full of minerals. Yes it's annoying when you have to add 10 jumps to a trade. run so you can avoid systems where pirates are active.
But NO! I'd not have it any other way. That's what Eve's about. You need the low sec Empire systems as that grey area between Pirate and none pirate players otherwise there would be no contact at all between the two groups. High Sec Empire systems are for those who are new or who don't want to run any risk of PvP what so ever. 0.0 Ar efor the hard and fast PvPers who are out carving empires for themselves. Low sec Empire Space is where Player Pirates might make some decent money raiding the not so well patrolled trade routes and none pirate players can make some decent money with those lucrative trade deals. Of all the different areas. I would suspect that it's the low sec Empire systems where you will find the majority of PvP action goes on

Could also try making a run for it just after DT "Requested items: One Mark V ECM unit, 1000 km of fullerene cable, one low yield nuclear warhead. Stated purpose: birthday party for Amarian dignitary." -Special Operations Service requisition form- |
