No need. Pretty sure it'd be the hacker.
And the lone crazy person, who laughs anyways so it doesn't count.

You can't show us any facts just tell your story. Lucky for you it doesn't matter in the slightest what we think, since we can't do anything about this. So why don't you stop wasting your time here, wait like the good law biding little boy you are and let CCP check your story and find out what the truth really is.

This proves without a shadow of a doubt that its a hacker we are talking too. Anyone who actually plays this game be it ingame or forumgame knows better.

I would say its fallout from the 6000 rmt related accounts that got axed in a single swing. Imgaine you are the owner of one of those sweatshops and you get a call from the drum beater that every single account in your business has been banned. All of it. Gone. Thats it folks, all those years of skilling and all the holder accounts with trillions all gone and will have to be done over again from square one if the business is to continue. Granted they don't all get banned again after the first set of new replacement subs runs out. So yeah I imagine there be a few slightly angry people on the other side of the world atm.

You dont own ANYTHING, except the privilege to connect to the eve server. Even that, CCP has the right to revoke for whatever reason they want. Read the eula folks :\

0go was busy, he's the one attached to my thefts as well, luckily I'm not rich and he only managed about 600mil off my 2 accounts.
AVG didn't pickup whatever I had, so I wiped the drive and I'm starting over. Maybe everyone should take this as a hint and start scanning your own machines and monitoring strange system behavior. |

Look, there are some very valid reasons why you're getting mocked, laughed at, etc. here onthe Forums - and those reasons are:
1) Posting about this hack on the Forums - quite frankly, there is NOTHING in your post that would help anyone in their efforts not to get hacked - so the "public service" bullcarp is right out. "Name and Shame" OPNLY works if the ones being named actually care about thier accounts - which most of these hackers don't. They're called "throwaway" accounts for a reason.
2) There are VERY limited ways to get hacked - the hackers themselves can either try a bruteforce effort to get legitimate account names and passwords - which is easy to detect by even the most inept sysop. Or, they can download a malicious program to a user's computer to record and transmit what a user does at the keyboard, and web sites they visit in the process - what's called a "keylogger" or "virus". Most of the EvE hackers use the second approach, which involves tricking the user somehow into downloading the malware and starting it up.
3) To download the malware, you have to do some things that by most definitions would be incredibly stupid - the most common one is a ActiveX control (thank you Microsoft for the boneheaded ActiveX system) that masquerades as some kind of plugin updater - however it never actually downloads the plugin, but a "keylogger" instead, as well as some other malware. That's where all those dodgy links you see on the Forums lead to - a site that masquerades as a Flash update. There's other places you can get 'em too - it doesn't have to be just here.
What can you do NOW about it?
1) Get rid of the malware, FAST. The ONLY really reliable way to get rid of malware is to wipe your computer and reinstall everything, once you back up the actual data. YOu can try using any one of several antivirus utilities out ther (I prefer Kaspersky - it's not as exploited as the ones by Symantec, McAfee, and Trend Micro). Those may or may not work - depends onthe keylogger, and how long it's been around.
2) Once you've got a clean system (or have access to one that you KNOW is clean), reset your passwords for your accounts AGAIN, as your most current reset is guaranteed to be compromised at this point. Once you do this second reset, DO NOT USE YOUR SYSTEM TO LOG IN AGAIN UNTIL YOU KNOW IT'S CLEAN.
3) Get a decewnt antivirus/firewall set up and operationsal. The better ones (Kaspersky version 10 is among them) have a "Safe Mode" to run new apps in, which creates a "Virtual PC" for that program, so that NONE of it's activity will affect the rest of the system. Usually a antivir with a "Safe Mode" and a heuristic scanner can catch trojans before they load - not all of 'em though.
4) Examine your browsing habits, and get a browser with somne security in it. The most recommended combination is Firefox + Noscript+Adblock Plus - for good reason. You won't be completely safe, but you'll be safer than IE is by a long shot.
The above was written to the skill level you seem to have from your OP...it's not written to try to offend you. If I wanted to, I'd do a far better job of it :)

As another aside - you do realize that this is the WORLD WIDE Web, right? Nattering on about laws in the State of Florida, USA will only make people in other countries laugh, as Florida laws apply within the State of Florida, and US laws only apply within the boundaries of the United States - and last I looked, CCP is in Iceland, which does NOT have the same laws as eiother the US, or Florida.
Same with these hackers - they are in countries that either have NO laws regarding Internet scams/theft (Nigeria, some other S. African counteries, Middle East), or where the laws are poorly enforced (China, some of the Russiaa states, other places in Europe). To them US law means about as much as a fart in a whirlwind - and is about as effective. Mentioning any one country's laws in a international Forum IS a mark of noobishness - as your country (the USA) ISN'T the world.

AVG won't pick it up. AVG sometimes catches keyloggers before you install them, if given the chance.

Petition, CCP will revert all the transfers and sales. You will have lost nothing but a few days, potentially weeks, of access to your accounts while CCP conducts their investigation. Assuming ofcourse that you didn't buy ISK from an ISK seller, in which case that amount will be deducted from your wallet. Since the breach in security was not on CCP's side, you will not be reimbursed for this time. Have a nice day.

Of course some of us know the servers we play on TQ are in London and that is where the offense occurred and would be the laws that applied.

Wow i just got linked to this thread through the sell order, all I can do is to clarify somethings. First, I asked for the screen shot of his character selection page so i could verify his alts, it is standard practice in many corps and in no way was it meant maliciously. Second, I have been trying to dissect this and have come to the conclusion that I may never see that money again which is kind of depressing. Third, I think that each party has petitioned this, which leaves CCP with the final verdict.
One thing I was wondering, am I in anyway at risk for attacks on my computer? Since some of you seem to be experts on this, it seemed like an appropriate place to ask. |

In theory this may be true.
Of course you need to get the person who committed the crime to London and that is where theory goes out the window and hits practicality, who is walking by outside, in the head.

There is always someone slow in the group, or youÆre just an alt for the hacker trying to play it down. Either way your post is pathetic
No longer will we call other players trolls, from now on we will insult each other by calling a person a hacker, and so it was written.

Just file a petition, and never again click without thinking.
I do feel your pain though, despite the fact that I might be bemused by your reaction - and I do hope that this thing will be resolved for you.
Actually hacking is criminal offense in EU also in most parts. Depends a bit on state ofc but I think there was EU directive about it a little while ago. It's just that usually in EU you don't go into prison if you get nailed first time. Make habit of hacking other people computers and you can see prison life somewhere between 2 and 10 years, depending where you are and what you did.
