Can we please get some intel on the titan changes other then the doomsday nerf (changing the AOE to a single target). Seems to be a great change though how about what you are going to do to actually see them fielded again, buff teh tank? make the guns useful? love to risk 60bil to shoot a pos or dread fleet..
gives us some information please.

If Titans can only shoot one ship at a time now and if the new superweapon has a cooldown period, I think Titans should be given the ability to fit siege modules. -- Eventus stultorum magister. |

Pure specualtion for sure, but if they make it a one ship shoot thing cant ever imagine you'd see another titan on a battle field.
Especially as they are as fragile as they are.
Some feedback would be nice, but CCP seem to lack the ability to talk to use recently.

I dont know much about the dd nerf (could not find the original post it came from could someone link it) but maybe it will tie into dust 514 some way. Your titan is now a death star. By by planet. I daught u can blow up a planet with it but maybe do something really bad. Because if a you can insta pop a dreadnaught with a giga lazor. What would that do to a planet?

Yeah as someone who is likely never to be in a titan... im against that one. One of the best LOL's in the game I have had so far is when a pair of titans tried to DD our 8 man T1 cruiser gang and ended up only killing their own. To deny new players that experience would be a shame. And titans will not really ever leave pos shields.
Yeah a DD can wipe out an entire fleet, but you can usually smell one from a mile away.

Not realy. Just make a SUPER siege module. Increase repari by 3 fold and decrease rapair duration by 3 fold. CAN BE REMOTE REPAIRED. Increase turret and citatel damage 20 fold :)

would be awsome if it had somekind of energy turret than puts out 200k dmg per blast with a lightbeam as thick as a bs no signature radius on the gun, and lile 10km blast radius, or 2km with 10km fallof with 15% dmg recharge time about 20s and would have no tracking. but would eat some nice amount of cap and make the beam awsome by graphic. would be cool as hell.

Titan should become a capital killer instead of a small fleet killer. When I originally came to this game, and Titans were created, I always wished to see them fitted with guns, able to siege, and be capital killers similar to a dread but with slightly more oomph and better logistics. |

I don't know why you want to have offensive capabilities on a titan anyway. There will be groups out there with 20+ active titans (like us) and if you make them offensive cap killers, you're removing the ability of smaller groups to fight competitively.
Boost the jump bridge range, bonuses and clone vats. Make them the logistics behemoth your alliance can build a backbone on, thus removing the offensive edge they provide and as such allowing newer groups to compete on the field.
Anyway, I'm sure there'll be a detailed dev blog on the features soon.

I think it is better to make special XXLarge guns (1,5 or 2 times stronger than regular XL gun, for example) for a titan and give him the ability of siege mode.

Honestly... I thought of this also... but it would pretty much mean that it'll absolutely never happen. It would mean titans cant by any means be used. If titans are pretty much avoidable now... imagine having to lock also... that's crazy.

also, i dont think this is the case, just warp in two titans, have them target eachother and BOOOM same as usual....

remember folks now with bob dead titans and no combat ccp are rebalancing things to create more pvp, so everyone that is napped in 00 everything will be turned against whatever youre adventage is ccp has done this time and time again.
Adapt they will but sub titan might be worth looking at now

The TITAN could have a Siege module. When NOT in siege, it fires upon a single target. When IN siege, it fires the AOE...

Better tank, 5 min cycle time on the one shot, and give it the ability to siege.
Then they stop becoming targets and start becoming fleet ships.

No on both counts. They are NOT expensive, most mothers are privately owned and funded and Titan's were designed to be Alliance/Corporate investments evidenced by their attributes. Using cost as an argument fall down when you consider the amount of ISK currently flowing through Eve and the sheer number of Titan's active (230+ I believe). You are paying for functionality not for "omgwtf machines" ..
The anchoring/siege idea has been brought up by many others myself included. With the new sovereignty mechanics coming and solar-systems needing to be developed using a modular the idea gains in strength. Defensively: Add the anchoring/siege function and let the Titan effectively add a bunch of the military modules otherwise hard/expensive to acquire to a system for the duration. Offensively: Add the anchoring/siege function and let it extend the equivalent to a POS shield and afford a range of sovereignty related attack abilities, maybe even let it double as the sovereignty module that has to be dropped in order to assault a held system.
Motherships can go the other way and add economic/logistics oriented modules to a system and act as area-of-effect repair stations when in Triage. Personally couldn't care less about motherships though, they are super carriers nothing more as far as I am concerned .. instruments of convenience.
Without knowing what CCP has planned for the sovereignty system there is just no way for us to "help" with balancing the capitals, so this whole thing is an exercise in futility

looks like ccp is trying to bring the game back to capital ships online minus titans or having them less important which probably means more dread- carrier blobs and maybe even a move to tech 2 dreads, carriers, anti carrier type ships and motherships
