Hello, Joe.
My questions are regarding your recruitment practices, prior to the SSS incident. Despite whatever else may be said about you, you seem to have had the knack for recruiting both experienced players who were willing to spend much time and ISK for the good of the corporation (such as Trok), and fresh newbies who were willing to stick around despite many losses.
Were and how did you find these recruits?
What was your recruitment process?
Why, in your opinion, did they stick around for so long?

I can answer most of these from personal experience being in the corp so long. However I still would LOVE to hear Joe's answer. Its got to be worth a good laugh. Joe basically did very little recruiting himself. He asks all members to recruit and get people to go and apply. This comes down to just spamming in local with very little info about the corp then getting those people to invite there friends where the cycle repeats. Kinda like a pyramid scheme where Joe collects more and more taxes. If you spam in local and message random people long enough you eventually find someone willing to give a new corp a shot. Especially new players. Despite how I pleaded with Joe, he never supplied any pre-made recruitment messages, or basic info those recruiting can tell people. So what was said was random and only what people knew from personal experience. But Joe wants all members to try and recruit so people did.
There was no interview when people applied just a quick approval. Only recently did he even ask for API's and only to try to stop spies. Most members only stayed as long as they did because they had a friend in the corp. Mind you this wasn't very long at all. The I.C. had a very very high turnover rate. People were joining and leaving all the time, I mean every day. During the war with the SSS we only had about 4 or 5 regulars besides Joe including me.
So to shorten this.
Question:Were and how did you find these recruits?
Answer: Random spamming in local chat in starter zones as required by Joe.
Question:What was your recruitment process?
Answer: There wasn't one, random recruiting followed by approval with no interview.
Question: Why, in your opinion, did they stick around for so long?
Answer: If you consider members leaving after a 1-3 days and then being quickly replaced by other new players long, then they stayed that long because that's how long it took to find out Joe was a terrible CEO and the I.C. had few redeeming qualities besides the few helpful members such as myself.

Fortunately having seen previous kills with up to four stabs fitted, a full six points were put on the brutix before going out. The drake had a co-processor, power diagnostic and 2xwarp core stabs fitted in the lows.
His mids were reasonable. And, well...I suppose crap t1 launchers are fine if you stuff caldari navy missles inside.
In other news...The Giant Squids have apparently killed Viceroy Jane in Luminaire a couple times. Um..what?

Yes, you read that right. The Serene Storm Society has declared war on I.C. once again. From what CEO Abraxus Max tells me they decided to declare war on Joe once again for the following reasons.
1. Joe should not be running a corporation until he is able to be a more effective leader.
2. The members of the SSS asked if a war could be declared until he resigns as CEO.
I think both are good reasons. Needless to say 40 pilots all going after a single incompetent CEO who has no financial backing is really really funny.
Oh and Joe, I am happy to re-apply on Trok at any time and accept the Job as CEO. You know, if you get tired of running in fear in your multiple warp core stab'd drake.

Hi all - just another little update on the Joe watch for those who aren't bored to tears yet.
Was trawling the forums for lack of a better thing to do and came across this little gem.
PVP Joke
For those too lazy to click the link. the joke went like this:
A pirate with a warp disruptor attacks a missioner with a warp drive stabilizer. The missioner warps away. The pirate finds him later and attacks him again but the missioner once again warps out.
The missioner asks "Why do you keep attacking me?"
The pirate replies, "I'm not sure now, I'm starting to think this might be pointless."
This made me think fondly of Joe so I eve mailed him the joke to peruse in his spare time (didn't want to drag him away from any important CEO duties so that's why I eve mailed him instead of the good old private convo)
Unfortunately. I don't think Joe appreciated the joke.

Who knows. Joe seems to have ran away with his tail between his legs. Either that or he is so incompetent he cant even remember to run his own press conference. Joe now has 5 war declarations on him with a combined strength of at least 40 pilots. But as Joe doesn't seem to be thinking rationally (not that he ever does), I don't think hes doing the smart thing and laying low. Instead he no doubt is hiding from the eve forums like a koala bear lost inside the chainsaw section of a Sears and just continuing to go about his old ways in-game.

The latest on the Joe Show (tm) was put up on my blog over the weekend. But nothing since then. Sorry, no new Joe Show unless the star of the show actually does something.
Um...right..blog link... Here we go.
But nothing terribly exciting there.
Edit: You might want to check out the eve-tribune in a week or two though. Had a pleasant interview over the weekend.
