09/29 - Dividend Paid 8,712,750 (217,818 isk per block)---(ROI - 21.781%)
Was quite happy with this weeks dividend. Level 3 missions are definitely providing substantial increases in income. I did need to loan 600k from the corp wallet at one point however this was paid back about 24 hours later.
I am quite happy with my current battlecruiser, expansion is not expected for at least a few weeks, when it happens it will be to purchase a battleship to handle level 3 missions more efficiently.

Dividend received. Thank you.
Also, might I suggest you stick with the battlecruiser for Level 3 missions. You mostly face cruisers in those missions, few battlecruisers, and still many frigates. The battlecruiser guns are much more suited to fight other cruisers than battleship, not to mention the much slower target time of battleships.
So, if you're looking to do level 3 missions more efficiently, train up your skills and gear for your battlecruiser. :) That's my 0.02 ISK.

10/06 - Dividend Paid 16,138,068 (403,451 isk per block ---(ROI - 40.345%)
Dividend was paid a little early as I may not be available to pay it tomorrow. Was a very nice dividend, I don't expect it to get much higher than this in future weeks. Yesterday I moved from a Level 3 Quality -17 to a Level 3 Quality +17. This has increased reward/bonus however it isn't a massive increase and probably won't be directly noticeable in future dividends.
I went through my collected loot today, mainly the named stuff and was surprised to find some of considerable value (15m to 35m for some items). I have put them on the market so my total sell orders come to 75m isk.

The main reason I was considering a battleship was because there are a couple of level 3 missions that have battleships in them, nothing I fit on the harbinger can break their tanks and every time I get the missions I either need to decline or find someone in local to help. I can't attempt a stronger damage output as then I cannot tank the battleship. Skills wise, obviously when I have tech 2 guns I should be able to do more damage, but it will take a good month or two to get there. I don't want to invest in extremely good weapons as they sell at 10+m per unit, meaning if my harbinger dies, I suffer a massive personal loss.
I was considering a battleship but using medium guns on it. Means a stronger tank, easier to fit it up and can handle those missions I am currently having trouble with. I also play Eve at work semi-afk so was planning on fitting it up for mining during those periods (can't fit more than 5 Miner II on the harbinger (and that's with 5 coprocessor in lowslots).
I am still chatting with a few people in game, considering an Armageddon (they look very awesome) so this would be an additional 60m raised. Assuming my profit amount stayed the same, this would obviously reduce the weekly dividends for initial investors from 30-40% per week (roi) to about 15-20% per week.

Level 3 missions should not require you to destroy battleships. Pay careful attention to the mission description. Those few missions where battleships do appear you usually have to just fly to a can and retrieve and item, or destroy a structure. On those missions, destroy the one item you need to (or retrieve from the can) and warp out. When the journal flashes (and you have any mission loot you need) you can successfully complete the mission.
I've been doing Lvl 3s for a long time for Amarr and can attest to this. Recon, for example, is one where you don't shoot much.
But confirming that I received the payout. Thanks!
EDIT: And for the quality increase on your level 3s, keep in mind the sec status of the system. For the same level mission, same quality agent, the rewards in a lower sec system will be higher than a higher sec system (0.5 systems will give higher rewards than a 0.9).
So, if you went from a quality -17 to a quality +17 and aren't seeing too much of an increase, this could be why. If there is an increase, though, then by all means to the one that pays more. :)

Ahh yes thanks for this. My old -17 was in a 0.5 and this +17 is in a 0.7. It's a good location so I will stick with it anyway.

I don't remember that mission, though it's been a while. From what I read, though, it sounds like it is incredibly hard to take out that battleship for an Amarr (for a Caldari missile boat it is easier).
But that has to be the only (or one of the very very few) missions that require you to take out a battleship. Bringing help on that mission is a good idea, but I wouldn't recommend buying a battleship for it, as you will be wholefully inefficient if you try to use your battleship in other level 3s.
One option is to decline the mission. When you do so, I read, they offer the same mission buy flipped (you fight the Minmatar first and the Gallente BS in the next part). If you are better equipped to fight Gallente, you might try that. Another option would be to decline and go do missions for your other agent for 4 hours (so you can decline the other Declining a Wedge mission they'll reoffer you).
It's just an option of whether you want to buy and fit a battleship for one mission or not, though it will eventually come in handy for you.
And don't think I'm trying to dictate your play or anything! Just offering friendly advice.

I remember this mission, it's nasty.
Your lasers won't deal much damage and the need for some extra tank will reduce your dps only further (hardeners instead of heat sinks). My advice would be to check your drone skills and selection (choose the appropriate damage type and consider training for T2 drones).
Also consider using some cheap hardwirings if you don't already do this and if your dps is not enough to melt a bs tank, switch for this mission to Amarr Navy (Multifrequency M) crystals.
All in all a Battlecruiser should be able to take out a NPC battleship.

10/14 - Dividend Paid 15,008,301 (375,207 isk per block) ---(ROI - 37.520%)
Thanks for the advice above. I have started a skill plan to guide me to Tech 2 Armor Repair, followed by Tech 2 medium weapons, agent related skills and followed by training up towards a HAC and then a command ship. This will constitute 120 days of skills (a few other ones mixed in there with it).
I am fairly happy with my Harbringer. With the help of my friend Anu Koir we have been structuring the harb to handle dual armor repairers constantly without a sacrifice to damage output. This has almost been achieved.
I have been using my loyalty points to add some nice little bits and pieces to my ship including faction ammo (and soon to be) Amarr Navy Medium Armor Repairer. I would also like to invest in 7 best named medium lasers however cannot currently justify the 55 million isk price for them.
Thanks for tuning in, will see you all next week.

This weeks dividend was unfortunately a lot lower than the norm. Our sons came down with conjunctivitis and one of them also had tonsillitis at the same time so we had a bit of time in the after-hours hospital etc. I was also sick with a throat infection so whilst I was off work, I wasn't really comfortable sitting at a computer desk much this week.
Thank you for your time.

EDIT: Oh, and dividend received.
Finally got your Driving A Wedge mission with that BS. With my skills and setup it wasn't too much of a problem in my Drake, but I can see how that would be difficult/impossible to a new player. Hope you found a way around it.

10/29 - Final Dividend Paid 9,643,143 (241,078 isk per block) ---(ROI - 24.107%)
Hello Shareholders,
It is with deep regret I must close this IPO for the time being. To be entirely honest, the past week I found and got rather attached to a game called Outer Empires. It is a browser game with a fair few similarities to Eve. It also has an iPhone version due for placement on the apple store any day now where one can resume where they left off etc making it convenient when I am at work and also convenient when traveling or not in front of a computer.
Whilst I cannot quite understand why I find it so appealing (the combat and graphics have nothing compared to Eve) it's a lot more personalized. The lead dev is available in game to chat almost every day, is always asking for feedback and making changes/upgrades as users request them. It only has a few hundred players and is in it's first couple of months of infancy. The game has a free limited version however subscription only costs $3 USD or so per month.
I think some of the key influences in Outer Empires that have pushed me over are, availability, convenience, low barrier to entry (don't need to train skills for months to compete), it is more grind based in terms of advancement than time based which I both like and dislike. It has a very unique and fairly advanced manufacturing, research (improve random item stats and the itemname changes to include your name as a personalised item sale), mining, habitation/colonise etc.
It isn't like most of the other browser "MMOs" these days where it's limited. You can do what you want, play as long as you want, there is nothing like an energy bar type thing that grows every 5 minutes allowing you to extend your play. The only time based factors are colony productions and colony mining (can colonise a moon/planet, build refineries, mining facilities etc to mine steadily X items per hour. Decent variety of mineral types, gases (can be refined to fuel) and various metal ores that can be processed into solid metal bars then shipped to production facilities in same/other colonies).
This ended up being a mini-review when I meant to just say I was playing Outer Empires. If anyone wants to give it a shot send me a mail in game (Katiana Swan) and I am more than happy to help out and we might even be able to offer you to join our faction(corp).
So I will be leaving Eve for a little while. I am keeping the account subscribed (currently in training for t2 weapons) and my interest in Outer Empire could vanish in as early as a week for all I know or it may be months/never.
The dividend at the top is my last dividend unless I return. If I return to Eve I will keep continuing on the missions and paying dividends if anyone is left as a shareholder. Anyone wanting me to buyback their shares, please send your shares back and then evemail me advising on the number sent. Upon confirmation, your shares will be purchased back at IPO cost (1 million ISK each).
As above, those who want to retain their shares are likely to continue recieving dividends however they will be further apart as I have no idea when I will be returning (likely when I have my t2 weapons to play with them).
RogueHalo kindly gave me a loan a couple of weeks back interest free for 55 million isk. My personal wallet holds approximately 70 million isk (once dividend is paid), so I will first buyback shares off my 40 investors (those who want to sell), then pay back my debt to RogueHalo. My personal Eve assets (ships+mods+sell orders) equal a good 150 million so this isn't an issue.
Thank you kindly to all those who invested and those who helped me along the way in Eve. This isn't a good bye, it's a "taking a hiatus, see you soon".
Warm Regards, Katiana Swan (hope to see you in Outer Empires)

12/12 - Dividend Paid 8,434,811 (210,870 isk per block) ---(ROI - 21.087%)
Ok so I got bored of Outer Empires after about a week. I then got a little carried away by Call of Duty: MW2, got a new laptop to play with and my first Xbox 360. This gave me plenty of time to play various games in my time away from work. My young son actually loves watching me play Red Faction as he enjoys watching buildings and vehicles being decimated by the swing of an axe or multiple carefully placed detonators.
I have continued my subscription with Eve as per normal. I have been playing on and off but ensured my skills were up to date. I can now use T2 medium guns (both pulse and beam) along with T2 armor repairers. I was planning to move up towards T2 ships (command ships etc) however I have lately been considering moving to a new industry or even possibly expanding there.
As may have been seen in the Proton Power thread I have applied to join a part of his team to work in the research and copying sector. This has been the direction I have been skill training for the past week or so (just about to hit Laboratory Operation 5).
If Proton Power rejects my application I will consider an expansion here. It still won't be a large offer as my character will only have the ability to use minimal slots.

A few posts ago I did advise I would be closing the offering however no-one has sent their shares back. I have the funds on hand to easily cover the entire offering. Whilst I paid a dividend today and will likely continue paying dividends at somewhat randomized points whenever I do missions I cannot guarantee regularity. If you choose to continue holding the shares please consider their value as 0 (if not returned) with occasional dividends.
Finally, assuming Proton Power rejects my application, I am looking for a research alliance to join. I am not too interested in starting my own POS for a single character running research jobs. I initially applied to One Stop Mining shop (they have a research alliance now) however they failed to accept my application after 48 hours. I then submitted an application with Zzz but unfortunately after almost 4 days my application hasn't been accepted.
If I start my own research operation it will need to run via an alliance so I can secure investor funded blueprints. If anyone can organise this for me or knows people in Zzz, One Stop, or another research alliance to fast-track my application it would be of fantastic help to me.
I am still active in the forums and occasionally around in Eve. I am looking forward to splitting my interests in Eve between the mission running alongside the more passive research areas. My API is still and will always be publicly available in Post 1 for anyone curious to track my progress.
Thank you all for your time.
