Titans take over a month to build, not even counting the time it takes to assemble all the materials necessary.
True about build times, altho material problem nor logistiks is of concern nowdays. If you are in hurry, then for approx 2 bil extra cost you can assemble titan materials in your target system in a day by buying from market already compressed materials. With some preplanning and reasonable amount of paralellization you can compress enough materials to build titan in approx 1 week per account. Hauling that crap is easiest part once it's compressed. Just freighter to lowsec, dump into industrials, load your carriers / jump freighters, jump out and you are done in few roundtrips. Also once you have your first titan long build times are no longer as relevant as capital build arrays are only like 1 bil a pop and you can bridge your freighter(s) around once you have first titan. If it takes long time you can paralellize it.
Now imagine current 0.0 alliances if they really put their weight behind titan construction and start focusing on titans over dreadnaughts. Only limiting factor is liquid isk. They already practically hand out dread hulls to any pilot who can sit in one.

If it would be up to me I would have made damn things just mobile outposts and be done with it. Yep there is some issues and it's probably a lot of work coding wise but making Titans uber pwnmobiles does not remove the current situation where if you have certain 'critical mass' of them they kinda break the game. Whatever the 'critical mass' might be if it's giving the one clear advantage over the opposition it will be reached with single minded frenzy to be there first by current alliances.
Mobile station, where pilot can 'kick' the people out. If titan logs then people who are inside can be still inside, when the come out they just drop to random spot in starsystem and cant redock until titan pilot comes back online. If titan is destroyed all inside it is destroyed. etcetc.

i dont see all the dread and carrier pilots switching to titans and supercarriers at all. they are to expensive and to big a target to use just any time. like some of the titan pilots in this thread have pointed out they still die. 45 to 50 billion for a ship hull is still out of most peoples prices range. where as 800million to 2 billion for dreads and carriers plus full insurance is still acceptable.
Actually this titan/mothership iteration is the 1st time im actually thinking about getting into one. I hate capital ship warfare but such overpowered tool is just too good to pass it by and totally ignore (and yeah i do have enough isk for one, just never really wanted it).
I'm also hating capital ship warfare. I especially dislike supercapitals. But if you put big enough carrot in front of me I will have no other option than go for it. I WILL be able to afford Titan if I really put my mind to it. I could alreasy afford mothership without trying too hard if I really wanted to if I liquidate my fancier assets. If it will be really pwnmobile or unstoppable superweapon I will have 3 of them on the field and I will not be alone in that. Altho 2 of them would propably be alliance/corp funded as I can't afford more than one from my personal assets.
Never underestimate the power of few thousand people if the only option to keep their place in 0.0 is to field moar titans.
