I have made several attempts to suggest possible fixes for POS's and support the thread "Flogging The Dead Horse".
However IN THE MEANTIME could we Puhhhhleeeeaaaaase Get a DEEP SPACE CORPORATE WHAREHOUSE. SIMPLE, SIMPLE, SIMPLE
Like a GSC only as Large as a corporate hanger. NO SEPERATE HANGERS
Just a very simple BIG FAT PLACE TO STORE ITEMS...
Password protected or a Chat Type Access Window.
Pilots would be allowed to deposit or withdraw from the hanger if they have a shield and warehouse password or access assigned to them, their corp or alliance.
Sharing resources and corporate hanger access to other POS's in Alliance is a issue I see waaaaaaaay on the back burner... PERIOD
So in the meantime could we SERIUOSLY get a temporary fix?
Low Grid/CPU requirements and excessively low hit points to easily pop and drop contents.
This solves our storage and sharing issues without massive power needs (Its a warehouse whats it take to power the lights ? ) and it gives the pirates a new prize box (THIS IS A BALANCE SUGGESTION)
Corps and Alliances get a real fix for sharing issues and the pirates that POS Bash for a living get a easy drop if they kill the tower.

Hell, even a SuperSized (tm) Secure Container that doesn't degrade WHEN anchored near a POS would be awesome!

Anything at this stage of the game would help for sure. But that item would be abused I am sure and used in mine ops as a super ore container. GSC's work fine for this aspect now because when you outgrow the skills wise your in a Barge or Have a Orca to load to.
However the access rights on POS are foobared badly. Alliance members can drop but not take and corp hangers only allow 7 hangers. What a nightmare this is for large corps of say 30-50 let alone 200-300 members.
So the simple Temp Fix would be a Wharehouse Module. With the password or access set to a pilot or group it would allow not only large corps to give seperate and unique hangers to their members but it would allow groups (alliances) to share and exchange materials, mods or what ever they wish.
With the onset of worm space and the glut of POS's to come through Dominion (since they are no longer needed to stake claim) I would pleade with CCP to make the POS's more attractive for what they was intended to be... Bases of operation. The term Player Owned Station in itself implys a base of operation.
But in fact it operates like a condo with 40 people trying to share a 7 room apartment.
This is a simple fix to a major headache and as I stated with the glut of POS's to come and smaller corps and alliances possibly venturing into NULL and WORM space this could easily solve a plethera of logistic problems and make them more suitable and desireable to have.
Corps facing this 7 hanger issue now in stations would have a option to place a POS in local space and anchor a wharehouse as a hanger for each new member, maybe even rent the space out...
And in the name of balance a POS with 20 Wharehouse hangers would be attractive to the pirate element, not know specificly what was in them but being able to easily pop one and drop the contents if the Tower itself was destroyed would add a new element of risk and grief to the game.

When was the last time you constructed one in a worm hole, low sec or empire?
