Dramiel: - with its 3/4/3 layout, a MSE is about as much tank as it has, but very inconvenient to fit. A bit more CPU maybe please. - maybe 30m3 dronebay for a full set of spares. - with Trajectory Analysis 5, Minmatar Frig 5 (full ship bonus), a T2 ambit rig and 200mm AC II with Barrage S I get 1.5km optimal and 13.5km falloff. This means outside of overheated web range it doesn't make any dent into anyone due to the various damage reductions of fighting in falloff. Any closer and it gets literally shredded in seconds by for example a Daredevil even with a 2x MSE II setup. Maybe 30% falloff per level Minmatar Frigate (results in 1.5km optimal and 22.5km falloff) so we fight at 50% falloff outside of webrange and can make our presence known to Pulse/Locus Slicers (22-23km optimal). - overall: 6.5/10 (7.5-8/10 if it had the falloff improvement)
Cynabal: - works surprisingly well in a shield-buffered Cynabond way - armor-plated setups work too - cpu and grid are plenty enough to work with - overall: 8/10
Machariel: - even without the tracking bonus, it is still enough to dive under pulse laser tracking (in the absence of webs) - the 100mbit drone bandwith and falloff bonus enable it to effectively kite if you pay good attention - I consider it an AC boat, not an artillery one, so cpu/grid were fine for me - overall: 8.5-9/10
Daredevil: - insane damage output. 'nuff said. - overall: 7.5-8/10
Vigilant: - don't really have any suggestion here either - liked its performance very much - overall: solid 8.5/10
Firetail: - lacks HP for close up brawls against other frigs (single MSE) - bit of a mess to squeeze a Gyrostab on, 5tf cpu less than the Dramiel (same layout) - good for pointing and waiting for backup to arrive I guess - overall: 5/10
Stabber Fleet Issue: - i don't think anything changes against TQ, like it as it is (have two on TQ)
Typhoon Fleet Issue: - don't fly the Phoon on TQ, so +grain_of_salt - tested the 5/5 8/4/7 version - got encouraging results with it, even with rather low Torpedo and Heavy Drone skills - maybe lacks a bit powergrid - looking forward to the 4/4 8/4/8 version - hoping for 5/5 8/4/8 which would be a 4-med-Armageddon comparable wet dream, only for Minmatar - overall: 7.5-8/10
Tempest Fleet Issue: - no joy with heavy plated setups - no joy with heavy gank setups - don't even start me on shield tanking - had some successes 1vs1 against buffer setups ( ) - well, the fitting issues of the old one are mostly gone (again, I didn't try Artillery setups) - somewhat lacks direction, a bit of a Jack-of-all-trades ship, possibly giving it a niche (but a very small one) - the +25m3 dronebay are nice, but 75mbit for 2/2/1 drone setups are still weird, even with the extra flight of lights - overall: 5.5/10
