Greetings
So i decided to post here about my first pvp experience and a total failure it was, and the horrible ramifications that followed.
I have a small pos in a worm hole and i live there with my 4 characters (all about 2 week old, im a newbie). I have been abel to
kill sleepers there with some hard work and been doing it for few days.
Yesterday i decided to scan the system and found a nice place to rat. I started ratting and did few spawns. Then realized i need to
repair alot, so i jump into the moon of my pos (180km away from pos) and start repairing. I did this few times and even went to the
toilet to read a news paper once since it takes quite alot of time.
So i return from the toilet to find out that i have been attacked, i start moveing towards my pos that shoots at these evil pirates
and i'm thinking "OH YEAH, NOW THEY WILL DIE!!!11!!". I launch my droids, but i cannot lock any of the pirates, not sure why. I notice
that my armor is going down very fast on both of my apocs and i will not make it. These boys and girls aint ****ing around, and seem
to be quite experienced.
Now that i know for a certain im going to pop, i select my pos and hit the warp to button like crazy. Soon as i pop on both ships i get
to the safety of my pos. I start a convo and start talking to the evil pirates. It turns out they are nice people and even gave me some
tips. I enjoyed this encounter, it was exciteing tho i died very fast and could not do ****.
After this the pirate taunts me to take my two abas and do a rematch, i agree because i hate that battleship (not enough skills to fly well)
and i know its insured for 360m (2x ships). So i jump in with my both chars and tell the pirates i jump in the belt with the rats, i think
i will pop both of these ships and collect the insurance since i dont need em. I jump to rats and they kill me, after this the pirates go
see my wreck but find nothing since i forgot to fit it in the pos....
I check my wallet to find only few millions there, in amazement i start to write a petition. I should get full insurance cause i paid
100m (total for both ships) insurance fee. Soon enough i get mail telling me that i was sitting in a wrong ship and my contract was
broken. I didnt know that i cannot use my alt in the ship..
Losses for the day:
2 x apocs with named setups and trimarks rigs (not sure how much money but quite alot.)
100m worth faction ammo (not sure why i had all of em with me)
2 x abas
So losses are around: 800m or more
Now i got bit ****ed and hit the poker tables at eoh only to find out i loss 600m there too. So daily losses for yesterday is 1.4b or close
at that number. Could be more, could be less.
I did learn quite a good lessions yesterday (like bookmarking very near pos, not 180km to repair) and the pirates were nice people to chat
with. Maybe next time i'm smarter. Now i'm sitting in jita with my both chars, fitting brand new battleships. I'm talking to my self quietly
as i play, repeating "ITS JUST A GAME!!!11!!" like an old mantra...
Will see what the new day brings..

I know it's said a lot, but you shouldn't be flying battleships whilst being two weeks old :p

This is not true, i cannot rat and kill sleepers in bc not possible. I can do it fine with my apocs tho. The money is not issue for me since im quite wealthy.

Actually you really don't get her comment, do you?
Just because you obviously ebayed your accounts and such, spent tons of money on ingame money.... does not mean you are actually fully effective.
And her skills comments did make sense. If you need a BS sized ship for most sleepers you really are out of your skills and elements.
And lastly, if you did not know the whole contract thing: you really did not read half the stuff Eve tells you.

If i want to kill sleepers and i enjoy the game by doing it, would it be smarter to be bored and sit in station waiting to be effective with BS? I could get a frigate and fly around doing L1 missions, but i would not enjoy it as much. THIS IS A GAME! So why not enjoy it with a battleship? |

actually for C&P the posts have been fairly polite and constructive. At 2 weeks you barely have to skills to fly a BS let alone fight it very effectively. You will lose in pvp to any pilot with a halfway decent fit since your primary and secondary skills will be lacking at this time.
C&P is like walking down the street in the bad part of town.The last thing you want to do is flash your wad of cash and bad mouth the locals.

Its called buying time cards, with RL money and selling them, not hard to do
On another point, everyone who is flaming this guy needs to be quiet. Just because he is a noob does not mean you should spam trolls at him. If he has the money to waste learning then great for him, i wish i had the money to spend pvping because i have so much fun doing it. Stop being jealous he has the money to do things you guyz cant, and if thats not the reason ur trolling him, then stop being an ignorant small minded fool.

If you really have isk to burn b/c you're friggin wealthy, apply and join a 0.0sec corp that takes noobs and pvp with them. You'll get to talk to them on TS and you'll get to laugh with them about stupid mistakes you make.
Also, killing sleepers will get boring soon...pvp always brings new challenges. That 1.4 bil could have been literally hundreds of pvp ships you had a ton of fun flying and blowing up stuff with. |

Maybe you should have done your research if it interests you so much, post history would let you know how i did it. I feel bad for all these people posting here, seems they are all full of hatered, elite attitude, envy and sad feelings. Do you people go out much? What makes you feel so bad that you need to outburst your hatered of your self at strangers. Stop hateing your self and you might learn to post without trolling and hateful feelings. People troll because they feel bad inside, they are insecure and mostly associal in behavior in rl.
Only thing you achive by trolling is makeing people angry or makeing them pity you. Anyway i hope you trolls get something out of this, i quess you need to get your fix too.¦

I envy you for doing it your own way, my point is that flying Battleships two weeks into EVE means you won't have three quarters of the skills required to fly them. Best of luck with it, though. |

I started to train for battleships actually not before I had 40 mil SP and three years game experience. I'm absolutely convinced that one cannot fly a battleship with any chance of success against experienced PvPers with less then 10 Mio SP, and then also only barely.
I think you could have more fun and less frustration flying small ships in bigger gangs and learn first, before you try to do the big things yourself.

There are people in this world, and some of them for sure play EVE, who do not care at all to invest a small fraction of their daily interest income in buying GTCs for a few thousand dollars to finance a newly found pasttime.
Those people can fly what they want and do not care at all what they loose. They are neither effective nor efficient in their gameplay and loose a lot, but they don't care, they have fun.
Maybe our Lord here is one of them. At least he shares a bit of his fun, as a lesson to some, or as killboard additions to others.
