Can only agree. HD Stream + too large TV = my evening is made. ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |

Edited by: Xen Gin on 19/09/2009 15:29:18 I keep getting "Buffering Stream" and "Adjusting Bitrate Stream". Problems downloading at a steady 200kBs, but BBC HD is fine at 600kBs contstant.

Buffering issues here as well. (not caused by my internet connection)
Other then that, HD is awesome _________________

I'm also getting lots of buffering issues with both the HD and standard streams. The player is constantly reducing the stream quality and the video is constantly freezing with the slightest hiccup.
Overall, I'm really wishing I could point windows media player to a streaming video link and could forgo this flash-based nonsense. At the very least, I wish I could set the video to buffer more than 1.5 seconds, in the hopes that additional buffering would help relieve the issues I'm experiencing.

If you guys are seeing buffering a lot - try turning off the "Auto Bitrate" setting. There is a checkerboard icon near the bottom right of the player that will control the feed quality and auto setting. -- |

I don't see this option on the HD player. However, if you use the Standard it has the checkerboard and the ability to choose HD.

Really? Not seeing it… Could be that I'm playing it through my PS3, which occasionally has some quirky behaviour with flash players. (edit: or, as Shandas says, it could just be missing from the HD player)
That said, I really like that it's available as flash, because then I can play it this way. If it were possible to get the stream that feeds that player as well, then that would be nice too, but I'm guessing that bitgravity has some say in that matter. ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |

And yeah, the checkerboard icon just appears on the SD player. Still buffering a lot on the HD player. _________________

Bear in mind that the HD stream is running at around 1.5 - 2mbps.
And the tournament link is on the front page of the site in a news piece, as well as in the menu on the left of the page. EVE Alliance Touranment -> EveTV. -- |

The SD and low definition buffer a lot too even though I'm on a 25mb/s connection which is being used for nothing else then the tournament now though. _________________

I had the issue too, but only in Firefox 3.5, I tried running it in IE 8 and I haven't seen a single "buffering" or "reconnecting to stream" message since. So it could be something on the browser end. It's sitting at 1-4 Mbit/s here.
