Since there no other appropriate forum to post this moan : Wtf is going on with shipping costs of the eve store? I figured I'd grab a shirt because the guristas one looks cool and it's, ya know, support the cause and all that. To my surprise the shipping amounted to a little under $40! That's twice the price of the actual shirt mind you. I know Iceland is having a tough time but that's pushing it a bit.
So, no shirt for me. Fix please..

Shipping is from the US these days, White Wolf took over running the store. And yeah, it blows that shipping is now outrageous to anywhere outside the US.

oh I guess it has gone down, I shopped for a GTC and they wanted $30 shipping for a $34.99 game time code.
needless to say I went to shattered crystal next.

I'm under the impression that the EVE store only sells GTCs printed on physical cards. They actually mail you a little piece of paper.

When CCP originally released their Carrot/pee flavoured Quafe drinks, the price was a few dollars... the S&H was about the same as a car.

i dont know what your experience was, but i paid next to nothing for shipping on a model mega, and a shot glass a few months ago.

If it makes you feel any better, I just tried to do a shipping estimate on a shirt and it said no shipping methods are available.
I guess I am going to have to drive to Atlanta. Or I guess, drive to the edge of Atlanta and the kayak the rest of the way...

Yeah, looking at $40 shipping to Europe, and that's before 25% VAT for the product itself.
Totally ridiculous. I pay less than a third of that to import stuff from JAPAN.
Other shipping provider than FedEx, plz.

i had to spend $45 on a shipment worth ú75, and then pay another ú15 for import tax, annoying but there isnt much else i could do if i wanted eve stuffs
edit: i couldnt even get the hoodie i wanted from the store, so i had to settle for a t-shirt and poster

Time to "import" some goodies from the store at Fanfest I suppose, FedEx is extremely expensive to Europe, and since Iceland is a Schengen country like the Netherlands, there's no import tax at all for me.

A hell of a lot cheaper than it used to be? Granted I can't even remember when i looked last, but i think i remember it being much much higher.
If it used to ship from EU and moved to US, why not just have a warehouse on each continent?
