PL roundhoused MM in pure blind.
supposedly MM managed to get half their cap fleet tackled at a planet while the other half getting killed at a station. those half were killed then the other half warped in and were subsequently killed
preliminary numbers 72 dread killed for 12 lost

BATTAL REPORT:
Pure Blind, X-7OMU.
3 Pandemic Legion staging posses coming out of reinforced between 02:00 and 05:30. NC call alarm clock CTAs to kill the towers, two of which are faction larges and fully faction fit.
The first tower to come out was a minmatar large, NC cyno'd about 120 capitals in at range (120-140) from the POS. At this time PL had formed about 144 in fleet (PL only ****ing blobbers), mostly remote rep battleships. As they're killing our POS, we kill a Nid that warped about 15k off of their staging POS. We then tried a couple warpins but they failed pretty terribly, the first time costing us two battleships, the second time costing us a bit more.
The switch to capitals is called, PL manages to gather about 70 dreads. Hostile support lands on our station while our caps are still inside and the NC caps begin to align. We switch back to RR BS quickly and break the support camp outside the pos, redock and begin to undock dreads. Most of our dreads make it off the station undock before their dictors land, however a few get left behind.
The NC warps dreads to kill ours tackled off the station (it's a kickout) and some epic ****ing dictors on our side manage to keep their main cap group stuck on our 2-11 pos which they had reinforced as we were switching. The capitals that we had undocked were called to warp back, we engaged and started shooting dreads.
Siege green, stack all stront.
While the majority of their capital fleet was held down on our tower 50 AU away, we began in on the ones that had made it to the station. The rest of the NC fleet slowly bleeds in over the course of the first siege cycle. As the bulk of the NC fleet lands, our glorious allies Cry Havoc, Eternal Rapture and Sons of Tangra arrive, adding another 30-ish dreads to the fight, helping to even the odds.
Both sides lay into eachother for about an hour and a half, by the end of it the NC had managed to jump in multiple waves of capitals (2-3 for some people) and PL dreads were on their last siege cycle. Lag was pretty bad, nobody in PL petitioned the node to be reinforced and guns on both sides were stuck for the majority of the fight.
The final tally right now looks something like this:
Capitals:
PL: 7 losses
Cry Havoc: 10 losses
Eternal Rapture: 3 losses
Total: 20 losses
vs.
Northern Coalition: ~80 losses (killmails are still coming in, 63 on the PL board alone)

Why would anyone be at fault, PL and MM are two alliances who love duking it out. As cute as any attempts at turning this into some kind of grudge catalyst are, your efforts better directed elsewhere.

confirming that SoT didn't lose caps. our weekly efficiency blew up to something stupid like 90% cause of this.
also confirming that i'm **** at math, didn't bring enough fuel, and got stuck 1 jump out until someone came back and jetted me some isotopes

You kept shooting him, so I ended up. Then when he came back, we got to Vs on the reverse alphabetical, and people had a hard time finding Wiperkiller Wiper****zle, Wiosio, and so forth.

Four different dreads on two different PCs - jumped in, could load, target and lock comfortably enough - but guns wouldn't stop firing at the first no longer alive target. Same problem on each dread. Yet enough of opposing fleet were able to fire at me to take each of my four dreads down in between 30sec and 1min after they became the primary target.
Its one of those game breaking bugs that change wins into slaughters.
Been on the winning side of it before. This time on the losing side.

This is probably an insane thing to do (treating CAOD members as if there were real people behind those keyboards rarely works) but .. anyone got any ideas on the extent of this bug?
Of the four dreads I came in with I had long enough to try a few things.
One dread had grouped weapons. Its weapons were firing ok on the first target. I toggled the weapons to switch them off, and although the single gun icon went red, it continued to spin. I tried ungrouping, but they were already red. I tried unloading ammo, but it wouldn't as the guns were in use. I tried offlining a gun, and it did indeed go offling. The guns weren't using cap and I wasn't being shot so had almost max cap, but it wouldn't go back online. Tried to leave siege to trigger the lock clearing code .. but then I was lit up and was down in less than thirty secodns .. someone wasn't having my problem .. lots of someones!
Tried another dread. This one didn't have grouped guns. Same problem. Tried unloading ammo .. wouldn't as gun was in use. tried spamming F3 key a few times to try to get a signal through to stop firing on a single gun, but nothing changed. Guns icon kept spinning and stayed red till this too died before the end of its first cycle.
Meanwhile I'd jumped a third account's dread pilot in. Didn't get to try much on this one as I was immediately primaried and popped. Thanks Tomas!
As this was going on I logged a fourth dread on that was already in system. This dread warped into the figth rather than cyno'ing in. This had the same problem again. Helped kill one dread, unable to switch off guns. Tried ammo unload. Nothing. Tried leaving siege. This one lived till the end of the cycle, but wouldn't leave siege, so I couldn't try the lock clearance on resieging.
Got a fifth and sixth dread undocked ready to jump in ... fortunately the FC had realized we were just ****ing them away at this ponit and called it off.
Anyone have a different experience? Some of you were able to shoot. Though the lossmails only show a single dread doing damage on each and the rest are zero damage. Yes, even MY logs show nothing!

Logged on halfway through the fight, unfortunatly. So yep .. looks like me and others who weren't at the pre-op briefing, or didn't know what you guys were talking about is the reason for such a sound thrashing. Fortunately only 30 of the dreads were from my alliance, so at least the blame can be shared :p
Maybe CCP can add this to the wiki!

Was a very fun fight. Got pretty laggy after about 5 minutes or so once the main battle started. Pl's move to bubble the NC caps on the planet was very well done, thougt I think it was about 1/3 of the fleet that got stuck. Anyways great fight to both sides.

You have 4 dreads and don't know how to cycle in lag? Honestly the lag wasn't too bad, been in many battles before where all the tricks in the book couldn't turn off the guns. I accidentally got a killing blow and missed out on 2 kills while I fixed my red guns.
Was tons of fun, sat in the staging area for an hour or more thinking we were going to have some epic blue balls. The best part was when Viper said stack all stront... you knew it was gunna be fun. Lucky I had 7 stront cycles :)

aye gun lag management is pretty dam important skill to learn when it comes to lagged up nodes. Had to learn that pretty quickly during querious. A lot of dread pilots will not use grouped guns as there is less of a chance of all of em locking up.

Not the normal 35 alliance vs 40 alliance we have been seeing...

Edit: Yea that's it. Same deal with seige mod/reper too.
About bolded part, some "epic" fitting could explain too :
- one moros with gravimettric ECCM and no siege module (Captain Chip - Majesta Empire)
- one niddhoggur with ... XL Shield booster ... and 1600 mm + large armor repairer (Leomancer - MH)
and prolly some more epic fit like that...

Pure Blind, X-7OMU.
3 Pandemic Legion staging posses coming out of reinforced between 02:00 and 05:30. NC call alarm clock CTAs to kill the towers, two of which are faction larges and fully faction fit.
The first tower to come out was a minmatar large, NC cyno'd about 120 capitals in at range (120-140) from the POS. At this time PL had formed about 144 in fleet (PL only ****ing blobbers), mostly remote rep battleships. As they're killing our POS, we kill a Nid that warped about 15k off of their staging POS. We then tried a couple warpins but they failed pretty terribly, the first time costing us two battleships, the second time costing us a bit more.
The switch to capitals is called, PL manages to gather about 70 dreads. Hostile support lands on our station while our caps are still inside and the NC caps begin to align. We switch back to RR BS quickly and break the support camp outside the pos, redock and begin to undock dreads. Most of our dreads make it off the station undock before their dictors land, however a few get left behind.
The NC warps dreads to kill ours tackled off the station (it's a kickout) and some epic ****ing dictors on our side manage to keep their main cap group stuck on our 2-11 pos which they had reinforced as we were switching. The capitals that we had undocked were called to warp back, we engaged and started shooting dreads.
Siege green, stack all stront.
While the majority of their capital fleet was held down on our tower 50 AU away, we began in on the ones that had made it to the station. The rest of the NC fleet slowly bleeds in over the course of the first siege cycle. As the bulk of the NC fleet lands, our glorious allies Cry Havoc, Eternal Rapture and Sons of Tangra arrive, adding another 30-ish dreads to the fight, helping to even the odds.
Both sides lay into eachother for about an hour and a half, by the end of it the NC had managed to jump in multiple waves of capitals (2-3 for some people) and PL dreads were on their last siege cycle. Lag was pretty bad, nobody in PL petitioned the node to be reinforced and guns on both sides were stuck for the majority of the fight.
The final tally right now looks something like this:
Capitals:
PL: 7 losses
Cry Havoc: 10 losses
Eternal Rapture: 3 losses
Total: 20 losses
vs.
Northern Coalition: ~80 losses (killmails are still coming in, 63 on the PL board alone)

Luckily someone droped a random bubble 100km off the station just b4 i warped in, spent the whole fight in sniper mode and was able to jump out when FC called for dock/jumpout without ever being shot.
I must say that TS was so quiet other than primaries being called that I thought we were winning or at least holding even.
Have been in alot bigger fights with alot less lag gogo reinforced node next time please.

Sounds like a great fight indeed and hats off to PanSwarm for exposing how soft and inexperienced the NC has really gotten over the last year or so. Looks like its going to be anybodyĘs game up there when Dominion hits and the NC renters decide they donĘt need to rent from such a paper tigers as it was put before.

MM are an awesome bunch of guys who like to have fun and are a tight knit group but MM just don't put people into the dirt unless they are exceptionally ******ed, like Insurgency, not because they can't or wouldn't build up to the capability to do so, but because it is not their way, in essence they are too nice.
PL are an awesome bunch of people but they don't operate like MM do. Different goals, different agenda, different way of doing things. While MM was the lesser of two evils compared to GBC during Max, MM is just an opportunity away from copping the same treatment BoB got.
It doesn't make PL evil, they are just... PL. Unpredictably predictable.
MM should put PL to the torch. Not because you hate them, just because they exist and are one of the few entities that would and do take the fight to you.
Sov times are a changing, Tribute wont be the fortress it once was, better to adjust to the more pro-active way with dealing with a real threat.
