Not going to happen. Best thing now is to hope for the improvements to roll in rather quick so we get our original functionality back.

captians quarters can be switched off. New UI can't and this is a problem.

I think they are trying to eliminate the need to use right-click drop-downs in EVE. What they don't realize though, is how effective right-click drop-downs are for so many things in eve. |

I'm sorry your not coping well with the UI. There is nothing wrong with it as far as I am concerned. Even corp hangers are not hard to manage. Perhaps thats becasue I'm above average? Theirs nothing wrong at CCP's end you just need to try harder. I'm sure you'll catch up eventually.

Corp hangers? Must be some serious **** in those NPC-hangers you're looking at.
The new UI is a nuisance and a big step back in functionality. Sure, you'll get used to it and "catch up" in the end - if it's the only thing we can use, we'll have to, but that doesn't mean it's a step in the right direction. |

CCP is indeed on a 'crusade' against context menus, Punkturis confirmed as much.
The problem is that they are on the same time seem to be trying to reduce the amount of buttons, ending up with hiding all kinds of functionality under unresponsive double-clicking and 'secret' shortkeys. OMG I so hope not! Now I can do everything with my mouse (except since short opening a second can and we know the reason) but if they really go the "keyboards shortcuts rule" way, oh god I shudder just thinking of it!

how about you don't shift click and just leave it in one window if you can't move one item from one place to another the way it's set out you have bigger problems than the UI |

My biggestcomplaint is looting multiple wrecks. Old way you opened all the cans after you salvaged them, then just hit "loot all" on bottom loot can and the next can opened. Now you try that in new UI and after looting each can you get kicked to ships hanger, then you have to click on next can, then loot it, then get kicked to ship hanger. Its a endless click fest |

Accounts have three slots for characters, one main and two alts. As you so astutely pointed out this one is in an NPC corp so theres a fairly good chance this is not my main as I'm talking about corp hangers. |

what I said was not related to the inventory UI, it was related to the war list in the corporation window. It makes sense there
if I remember correctly it was because there's not an option to right click on war to open war report, you double click to open it - but since it seemed like some people didn't realize you could double click it, I made some changes to it for Inferno 1.1 that you'll see on sisi really really soon! Welcome to the new UI !! We hope you will enjoy the new experience this interface is designed to aid you in doing many new and wonderful things in the eve universe. We took great pain to ensure you feel some also.
While you are working through your new inventory system be sure to enjoy the time we graciously give you to access your inventory . please feel free and grab a cup a joe, beer, or maybe some oxycotton while it loads.
when you come back you can enjoy your new inventory now with 100% less stuff!!, thats right now when you view your inventory it is no longer there cluttering up your view . This feature alone saves capsuleers hundreds of hours sorting and resorting through various mods .The end effect requiring capsuleers leave station and go out and experience eve proper as they look for new modules and stuff.
We know you would prefer your older ui but its gone. Our code revisioning ,database, repository, and encapsulation mechanism does not allow for revisioning, archiving, databaseing, or even encapsulating thus the old ui is now gone forever . Has something to do with emergent or maybe merging or just maybe it was just bad copy and paste skills but regardless that old clunker of a ui is now gone for forever !!
however know this, we are 100% dedicated to ensuring that you will be reassured that we are commited to 100% quality assurance . with that in mind we will apply weekly fixes , err .... semi weekly fixes until we are just as happy with the ui, as you are !! |

Well according the the Dev blog we get one more update to the UI on the 19th and then they are saying, "That's the best it is going to be" and move on. I guess we wait and see. My account dies on the 20th. Check out the new Orca model, brought to you by the Unified Inventory System

I'd say old inventory UI was better.
However we stil have an awfull grid, directional scan window and chat windows, those are the ones that really waste our screen and need improvements to give us a much better game experience, not a new inventory that doesn't bring in any terms better functionality than the old system.

I beg to differ.... Corp hangars when you have numerous industrial pos mods is in noway easy to navigate. That is, when the list of divisions and containers within said divisions is scrolls off the screen you are looking at.
What we need is for pos module corp hangars to open up with only its divisions. All other corp hangars and thier divisions should then appear below something like a flat line -----------------------.
If I was able to remane the divisions of each pos mod to whatever i wanted would also help me find what i'm looking for.
10 Hangars and 70 divisions + even more containers is alot to scroll through each time you want to do anything. |

Probably the latter. Leaving sucks, but the frustration isn't worth it. Maybe they'll fix it, maybe they won't.

They wont break it, they will 'improve it'.
