It's an 800mm round for a German WWII artillery piece. Just think... *you fire these from space machine guns*: Now I wonder what 1400mm shells would look like.

Ulstan	Posted - 2009.10.06 22:59:00 - [41] It's a carry over from how missiles worked back in the beginning. They were dropped/produced in batches of 1, IIRC. Also, any missile could fit in any launcher, provided the launcher was big enough to hold it. Larger launchers simply had a slower ROF. The 'siege' launchers had huge capacities for very lengthy fights. At this point you could shoehorn in a cruise missile into a standard launcher and throw it on a kestrel, IIRC. Also I think you could shoot mines out the missile launchers.

Axle skye	Posted - 2009.10.09 16:43:00 - [47] Hazy old memories from early eve (no HAMs back then, not sure if there was even assault launchers) r-3 = 3 light missiles or 10? rockets m-12 = 12 light missiles 30 rockets or 1 Cruise missile h-50 = 50 light missiles, xx rockets, 5 cruise missiles, 1 torp. s-110 = 110 lights, !!! rockets, 10/ 15 Cms, and 2 torps. yep Cm Crows were the devil, as were cruise kessies, or rifters or merlins or anything that could stuff a m-12 launcher on it. but the batches of missiles were hella expensive to build. Cm kessies ammo was more expensive than the ship. imagine the caracal w/ 5 torps or the blackbird for that matter. i did manage to jamb an H-50 on a tristan when the Micro aux power cores came out. that was funny. I kinda wish they would go back to that system. it would definitely make frigs way more interesting.
