Thanks for the tips about bookmarks and buddies. I cleaned out most of the junk in my lists and it seems to have sped up logging in by about a minute or so. I had a lot of trash in there. It still takes around 7 to 8 minutes to log in though.

Per'Gellen - can I kiss you???
only got 28k dial-up here, and logging in can be a real pita. Running even 2 clients though is no problem once logged in (Just remember to switch the sound off). Hats off to CCP for keeping the overheads down. --- "Due to the European lard shortage, we are currently unable to supply this product." |

Might have trouble with the wifey on that one. She tends to frown upon such things... LOL
It really amazes me how well the game runs even on a dial-up connection. The devs really did that extremely well. I've hosted LAN parties at my house with friends and had up to 5 accounts running at once on a shared 33.6k dial-up connection with virtually no lag related problems. My old ISP used to even disconnected me for inactivity sometimes while I was mining HA!

I see some don't understand what is happening. I have no trouble running multiple accounts on the same PC (as long as I disable my sound card before attempting it). That's not the issue. I'll explain a little better with highlights.
I have more than one account. I can't run them all out of the same installation directory or I get blue screens of death. Therefore I have to run them out of seperate directories which works very well. Each account has to download the .dat files the first time it logs in after DT. On a 33.6k connection this is pretty much all you do while this is happening. Can't browse the web, can't even check email. This takes roughly 8-10 minutes per account depending on various factors that I have no control over. Multiply this by the number of accounts and it becomes a very long time just to log into the game. Now this wouldn't be so bad if it only happened once a day. Alas, such is not the case. For some reason sometimes an account will lose it's .dat files for reasons I can't discern. It usually happens after I get disconnected (yes 33.6k sucks so bad it should be illegal). Hence the tip. If this happens I just copy the .dat files from the backup location back into the cache folder of the account that lost theirs and I'm back in business. Also, by making a backup of the .dat files after one account logs in after DT I can copy them over to the other account directories and then those accounts can log in immediately.
And before anyone starts yelling about it: I can't get DSL here. I can't get Cable here. I can't get Wireless here. I can't even get Satelite here (even if I wanted it's horrible latency). To many trees.
I hope this clears up any confusion.
