I do remember that some years, months, and days ago someone had actually proposed a different design for the dominix, something less metal potato. Bonus points in my book if someone can find that picture or alternative dominix's to share with the world.

However, on another note, I now have one of those annoying sigs.

Different versions of aircraft, tanks, and firearms look nowhere near the same, perhaps something subtle for differing dominixes? Dominii . . . At any rate, could anyone find the redesign of the dominix? A guy did one years ago, I think, that was all squared off. Looked like a stealth-homeworld-esque boat.

Maaaybe some metal attachments at its nose so it looks somewhat like an astarte, or keep it as is and make it one giant smooth metallic looking thing Space Egg of Doom!! As for the picture above, it too hastily drawn and I cant quite make out the intended shape.

The only reason i don't fly dominixes 23/7 is because of the way they look :(

We can asure CCP this change will not be in vain becose the majority (except those who dont care) of EVE players would be glad to see this change. OF cource we dont know if CCP will read this thread and after that they will take some decisions.. so... dream on..

I recall a game where they had to add a more human-like and prettier creature to get people to play a certain faction that was normally home to trolls, orcs, undead, and big cow-like creatures.

It's meant to be the 'old warhorse' of the Gallante fleet -but there's no excuse for it being ugly just as vintage cars can still be gorgeous. It's a shame really. Perhaps we could bribe a dev to put in some overtime?

Do it for the baby chick my child thinks is gonna hatch out of my ship.

Space Potato) has grown on me over time though and is somewhat iconic. What really hurts is when it's done up in Navy paint. My poor Typhoon isn't exactly gorgeous either, but when painted in green and brown camo.....UGH! I'd beg CCP to please reconsider the camo scheme for both the Navy Dominix and Fleet Typhoon. These ships are like Susan Boyle; they'll never be sexy, but with some decent styling they won't look like something that lives under a bridge!

I think all those three look good, the Diemost good enough to make me want to fly it in spite of its obvious horribleness for most actual combat purposes. Ships shaped like hairdryers are not unique to the Gallente, you've seen the Maller right?

Linkage I like to think of it as a big vexor, with a type of 'gun rack' setup that the Myrmidon has. If i get the time I'll make a proper model.

Now they want to put some absolutely ridiculous forest camo on the navy version , and I fear they're going to go ahead with that despite the sheer silliness of it. So I wouldn't be surprised if they one day tried to ruin the domi again, to try and please some of the prissy pants in this thread. Lay off it people, find other ships to fly if you don't like it.

Though it needs more curves and organic lines. Currently it would pass more as a caldari or minmatar ship rather than gallente.

It is after all a pregnant space whale, it does not want to look sexy. What I dislike are the metal circular side plates that do not make much sense to me. They do not even mount guns where one would expect them. Also, the old color scheme of wood and metal looked much better. Where are the organic colors of yesterday, buried under the layers of toy camo?

Anyways, I don't think the domi is that bad looking once you get used to it. Though I do not like the new paint job it will get, that goes for the navy mega as well.
