Very nice. :D But if we HTFU, will it be cap stable?

Originally by: Dave Monkey thanks peeps. I know they wont........but seriously why do some of these game have 10 x the subscription of eve? Apart from my crying over my cap ship......for new players this game sucks !
For the simple reason, that EVE is quite complicated and needs a lot of thinking in the beginning, where other games let you just start with some cookiecutter****, where all you have to do is grind XP to gain a new level to enhance the very same skill, that you used from level 1 on and that still works exactly the same way not only since you acquired it at level 1, but since the game is running. Also the amount of singleplayer-content in EVE is very limited and tends to become quite repeatative and boring, if you want some non-predictable action. And on top of that, the gameplay in EVE is rather slow compared to most other MMO-games.
Beyond that: Games sometimes have to change some of their longterm basics, to adapt to unforeseen circumstances/results or simple introduction of a new, altered, improved or enhanced content or mechanic. Live with the changes or leave.
Also: You didn't pay for the game to be eternally non-developing, instead you paid for the time you played. You recieved the service of playing the game how it was in return and that's where the contract ends.
Sadly, while that was an excellent post it was completely wasted on this ****heap of a thread. - |

Everything good in an MMO gets nerfed. This is just the way of the world.
If you trained for Nano and spent your cash to improve your nanoships, that was a price you payed to be a FOTM wh*re and dominate the game for awhile.
Then they nerf it and your investment gets deadpanned, but you should have known about this way ahead of time. Everything good eventually gets nerfed.
It's not a question IF it will be nerfed, it's a matter of WHEN.
If you fail to understand this, you need to either a) Stop playing MMO's, b)Stop chasing the FOTM, c) STFU and suck it up.

Let's see...
Did they compensate anyone when they changed Nos? Did they compensate anyone when they changed speed?
Did they compensate anyone when they completely reworked scanning, and suddenly everyone was left with dozens of researched copies of the same BPO?
CCP doesn't apologize for fixing mechanics which will ultimately benefit the entire gaming community. If you don't like it, play something else.
however they did unplug snake/speed implants You're posting again!? Has it really been 5 mins?

Come on you guys.....why do you wanna keep trying to fix things that aint broke??. Do have any idea how long some of these ships take to skill up for and cost ?? why keep penalising long term players?
Shouldnt you be concentrating on getting new players when to be quite honest the new player experience is totally dreadful. I bet you conversion rate of trials to paying accounts that last longer than 6 months suck
Jebus you know how to pi55 peeps off

Compensation for what? Hasn't it served you well? If you feel you're getting the short end of the stick, reprocess it.

The op is an ungrateful bastard, he should be happy because in his capital ship he can withstand the mighty Wolf, and we all know the mighty Wolf should kill everthing, even when badly fitted.
CCP proved it in their last promo video, Butterfly Effect.

You had months of flying around overpowered ships!
CCP doesn't compensate players for (finally) getting around to changing their overpowered ships, that's just the way it goes.
That said, sometimes people don't think their ships were overpowered and that's rather disappointing, but there are plenty of other ships in EVE to fly.
Train Amarr, it will give you the same sensation of superiority.

They haul money around post-apocalyptic wastelands. You get rich for killing them, but it takes good skills. The OP is mad because the one you find in his space is not as good anymore.
