You can compare FA with the mafia bosses in the '30's, they had nice suits but underneath they were the scum of the scum... No mather how well spoken they were or well dressed they looked. You can mearly call a few gank squads a full scale invasion. And it was CSF+ local peoples fault that they mining ops got blown away by these CA attacks. I can recall when i was still in Hun corp and we were based around Period there was a local deffence chanel but if you spotted a larger fleet moving down on the map and reported it there nothing happend and when people got blown up while mining or Npc-ing they didn't even realized what was happening.Cfs/DSMA and locals always stated that they are losing ships to deffend a station which they dont own and how unfair is that , but did you ever thout about docking in to the station or warping to safespot till CA forces got bored and leave? Ok you can say that has no honor and i need to grow some balls but what is honorable in geting ganked i would rather call this tactical. A nother thing is tax which I think wasn't that high. But you kept complaining about it and actually you belived all the CA propaganda.Now i think wealth genarated by the station is only a "side effect" a good one i must admit. But the main pourpose of Fa in the region was to gain friendlys who are willing to fight Ca if needed and of course giving stabilty to the region.Now i think Fa made their first mistakes when they didnt lower or end the taxes when Ca begun they propaganda about FA enslaving the locals with Taxing them. A nother side note lots of people think that Fa captured the stations from CFS or DSMA now thats a bit more complicated it's true that they were there first but i think most of you can remember Techell and the happenings at that time.And if im correct it was mostly Fa forces that recaptured the stations and driven out MOO who were hiered by Techell. Finally i think if any of the now "rebelling" allinces would control the stations in cfs space that would lead to a internal civil war beacuse i dont realy think that they would set docking fees to 0 or refining tax between themselfs. I can recall the time when DSMA first captured the stations when they shown up on the map. At T-par an office was about 1M and refing was 7.5% it was hold by Zoners then.Gq was first held by ADGA but DSMA took it over an office was about 10M a factory 1M so plz dont tell me that FA is the only greedy alliance in game.Only difference is that FA dosent want to "live" from the taxes only however locals like DSMA wanted to earn they money from tax and nothing else (at the early times)I know this beacuse i talked a lot whit people in DSMA when we operated in that region. These were just some toughts that i wanted to share since i bearly saw them mentioned in any thread abut this topic.
