Hahaha, if you lost a ship against a corp like YF, which is full of people doing the 2 week trial, you should go kill yourself. You have a year+ of skill training on them as well. I would never play eve again if I lost my ship like that.

Edited by: Istvaan Shogaatsu on 30/10/2004 04:10:26 The only ship I lost to YF was destroyed by a mega pulse laser. As far as I know, trial accounts can't train to use mega pulse lasers in sufficient time before their trial runs out.
The battleship which the mega pulse laser belonged to was destroyed a half hour later.
We just had an amazing battle with Clankillers and elements of YF during which I lost one of my favorite battleships but had a good time nonetheless. Only four favorite battleships remaining now. Good fight guys.
p.s. Posters criticizing the Guiding Hand should make sure that they are not a faceless meaningless nobody alt character from a corporation previously devastated by the Guiding Hand. If you find yourself in this position, the correct course of action is not posting flames regarding the Guiding Hand, but rather, drinking deadly poison.

Edited by: Raem Civrie on 30/10/2004 19:39:14 While Yulai Financial does have alot of newbies and altcharacters, especially after the war started, a few of them have battleships and the appropriate skills to outfit them properly. Hell, anyone who has played EVE for any length of time should know that in-game skills don't really matter that incredibly much, they're more of an addition to player skill, and they seem to have at least half-way competent allies.
Oh, by the way, I'm a 13 year old pre-pube buttermonster that listens to Backstreet Boys when no-one is looking. My favourite hobby, besides griefing people in EVE, is dressing my Malibu Barbie up in a short skirt and tube top, and then peeking up her skirt. I then ********** and cry myself to sleep because I have no friends. |

Some people wonder why the Guiding Hand Social Club, as a mercenary corporation, gets away with charging what to most are obscene sums of money. Some wonder out loud, and the only answer they usually receive is that "we provide services other mercenary corporations don't" - quite vague and non-descript.
While our contract war raged in Tourier, and ships fell on both sides, a single dedicated Guiding Hand operative was nowhere near the melee. Rather, he dwelled in the far-flung Delve region, in system 39P-1J - there, he busily operated his microwarpdrive-laden recon frigate's sensor arrays with the finesse of an artist.
Days prior, we had infiltrated the forums of our target in an attempt to gather intelligence. The infiltration was facilitated by a helpful traitor among the ranks of Yulai Financial, who was all too eager to sell his corpmates for thirty pieces of silver. It is there that we found out about star system 39P-1J as a mining operation centre for our contracted foes. Never being ones to pass up the chance for some creative terrorism, we sent our master of reconnaissance to the system - and there it lay, what would soon be our prize. A miner-studded Megathron battleship belonging to Aliksr of Yulai Financial, surrounded by a small but effective fleet of mining cruisers. The very heart of Yulai Financial's economic growth.
The safespot where the ship dwelt un-occupied was easily the most difficult our operative has ever had to track down. Under normal circumstances, the Guiding Hand only uses its safe spot locating talents in direct combat, attempting to pin down enemies who fled burning and battered to carelessly chosen refuges. On this day however, the still-beating heart of YF would be torn from its chest.
The Megathron and its precious equipment is ours now. The mining fleet lies ablaze and shattered. No insurance compensation. Only one less mighty machine supporting our foe, and one more prowling warhound, which now stalks the spacelanes under the banner of the Guiding Hand.
Guiding Hand Social Club - because it's the little things that count.
