Lagfest is laggy, but killing a dev is priceless :P More seriously: a lot of lag, problems with modules and a major problem: fleet chat should be moderated and only fleet leader with wing and squad commanders allowed to chat.

Everything was going fine as my computer is just stupidly expensive, then my client randomly crashed and I've been sitting here crying trying to log in again. It was right after everything was put on Lemur too
Don't think posting specs is appropriate since my client wasnt on very long.

But 300-400 capitals tend to do that. Did you have Audio enabled: No. Did you have brackets turned on: Hell no. On a scale of 1-10, how would you compare FPS and performance between this test and TQ: 1, but then again the test itself was hilariously stressful with all the capitals, etc. Once I warped out of the battle, it was a 10 - butter smooth. On a scale of 1-10, how would you compare FPS and performance between this test and TQ: At first I'd say a 4, however after a warp in and then warp out it was pretty much just like TQ, playable with the exception of the firing bug being slightly worse than normal, it became a 5.
It is nice to have a playable game though with most of the effects on.

test: oct 9
Win 7 RC
intel core 2 quad q6700
NVIDIA 9500gs
6gb
20-30fps
audio wasnt working
brakets were off
was about the same for fps but i give it a 2 because of modual lag and login wait time
the only bad part was planing, the wait times to get on was just horible, and the mod lag. The accual in game set up: the fleets and events were good.

PC#1 ---------------------------------------------------- OS: WinXP SP3 CPU: 3.46 GHz P4 Prescott RAM: 2GB PC-3200 GPU: Radeon X1650XT 512MB Avg FPS: 10-20 Audio: Yes Brackets: When I felt like turning them on
Scale? Started as a 7-8 but ended with a passable 5
PC#2 ---------------------------------------------------- OS: WinXP SP3 CPU: 2.80 GHz P4 Northwood RAM: 1GB PC-3200 GPU: Radeon X1650 Pro 512MB Avg FPS: 10-12 Audio: No Brackets: No
Scale? On this PC it was a good solid 6-7 the whole time, this PC is normally gimped worse than a bad russian ***** with 1 tooth when it has to load a grid with more than a few dozen objects, but this test when that alt got moved back to fd- and loaded the market station grid, almost no lag whatsoever as well as when we loaded the grid for the fleet fight. Slightly amazing.
All in all good test, but honestly the timeframe needs to be tightened up a lot, having to take almost 2 hours to get the server set up for the load was a little excessive, 'specially after the last test and the numbers we got for that one.

# Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc. It took ages to log in, then 2 hours after everyone except me had received their super capitals a CCP dev told me that I need to relog a few times to get them to appear for redemption. Now I'm sitting at #97 in the queue and it looks like I will be waiting a long time before I can log in again.
I think CCP should have added a few more servers to the sis cluster for this test as the lag was brutal.

-Win 7 64bit ultimate -amd x2 4400 -ati 4xxx -2gb ram -according to FPS monitor it was like 5fps... but it was playable in terms of graphics. -no audio. eve voice did work. My ears are still bleeding. -I had brackets partially on. Only brackets for the overview. -5 for scale on fps to TQ. I've been in similar battles. More or less the same in my experience. Infact due to the sheer fact it was sisi... not that bad.
They did show you can kill a titan. I'm still wondering though. I got like 1 volley every minute maybe 2mins due to firing bug. If the titan does logoffski during that kind of lag. Does it survive?
Desync was very bad.
Evidence 1 Evidence 2
Suggestion: build into the event. Like have the +5 all skills for a day before. etc etc. That way @ 18:00 not everyone has to run the script on logon etc etc. They might even be online already... so logon smashing wont necessarily happen. ------------------------ To make a megathron from scratch, you must first invent the eve universe. ------------------------ Life sucks and then you get podded. |

That dev blog says differently.
So, what is desync?

Edited by: Jason Edwards on 10/10/2009 01:59:58 Oh totally forgot the Short range XL weapons changes. Boy are blasters good.
25km with antimatter 90km with iron
Finally reasonable to put on your ship.
I hope moros will be moreso a short range dread platform more often. While rev is the longer range; big consistent dps @ longer ranges then in close with pulses. nag and pheonix being short-mid range due to the torps. nag I have a feeling might be a close range guy maybe actually. Depending on the proj changes; havent looked.
So strategically you can use those changes as a way to drop your dreads strategically on those ranges as opposed to sort of melding them all into 1 range.
As a passing idea. Why not bring in 4 new citadels? create long and short range citadels from that? ------------------------ To make a megathron from scratch, you must first invent the eve universe. ------------------------ Life sucks and then you get podded. |

OS: XP
CPU: AMD Phenom 9600 QuadCore
GPU: ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics
RAM: 3.25 GB
Average FPS: bearable (no exact number, taking my uber physics lessons from last year into account, prolly 10-15 FPS)
Did you have Audio enabled? -Nope
Did you have brackets turned on? -Sometimes
On a scale of 1-10, how would you compare FPS and performance between this test and TQ? -3
Comments? -Fleet was unorganized and undisciplined, like you would expect from a bunch of carebears when being teamed up with vets -Probably a little more node reinforcement would have helped a lot[OBVIOUS COMMENT IS OBVIOUS :P]. -Also the battlefield could have been cleaned up, I think those captial wrecks and abandoned Ogre II did impact the node
btw best of luck arriving safely at home (or whereever devs live).

It seems there's some sort of bug with Fighterbombers that continually reduces FPS of my system. Otherwise, lag haven, Indiscriminate fighting, and Titan DDD's. Would be better if you were to extend these events over a weekend so that people don't rush into a 24-48 hour timeframe and cause massive lag and other issues. Still, I got to fly in my first capital ships and supercapitals, so that's a plus.

Leviathan needs some CPU. Especially so if you need even more cpu for the officer mods. I cant even fit a t2 setup without a cpu mod. Rag might have the same problem.
We've pretty much found out how to instapop all supercaps now. Simply is X titans really. Not goin to change this in the fit. However I still propose the DD is applied over 30 seconds. That way to get the full 3mil dmg. the target has to be there for the full 30 seconds.
04:22:13 Combat Your Oblivion hits Shadow Control Tower(Shadow Control Tower), doing 1500000.0 damage.
